InDarkestNight
Earlier, I noticed the game didn't get a single mod all day. Literally. I've also not had much luck looking for support on the forums. I keep asking questions and only one or two has gotten a reply, and none have gotten a solution. I'm getting really sick of getting ignored. Yeah, I'm making a lot of posts, but honestly that's probably because I'm desperate to get SOME SORT OF RESPONSE. Besides, lets be real, SE isn't for modding. With bethesda's non-stop assault on modding, why would anyone even keep trying to mod this game? Seriously. I just don't get it. We had an influx of people when AE first came out, but they didn't seem to stay for some reason despite their claims that their SE had outright stopped working. Many of them had even foolishly bought the stupid full AE thing, rendering their game unmoddable and filled with cheap unstable garbage that wasn't even compatible with each other! Where's all the LE plays? I quit playing SE fairly early on. I'm not sure when the cut-off point was. I only abandoned it after NMM had mangled my game beyond use. I decided to just start afresh with LE and haven't looked back (though I do admit missing rain occlusion, obviously not much I can do about that, oh well). I was back-porting SE mods for my person use for a while, but its been literal years since I've done that. Besides, when I last looked at the SE page on a regular basis, it only had more mods coming out if you didn't have 'adult' files disabled. I just don't get this. Why are so many more mods coming out for the version that's unmoddable? They keep trying to stop skse from working, which seemingly every mod requires, they force-installed a bunch of cheap garbage that conflicts with a ludicrous number of popular mods (one of which included freaking frostfall, seriously, that mod's so core to me it may as well be a part of the vanilla game). Seriously, why? Why not make it for the version that actually works? Of course, I do realize that I'm one of a very few for whom LE is far more stable than SE. Still, honestly I'd rather have a unstable modded game than a stable vanilla game. Then again, my SE was unplayble even without mods. I literally couldn't start the main questline because I couldn't enter dragonsreach, and I never did resolve that issue. Re-installing it some time ago so I'd have the last version before the AE update came out, the issue still persists. I did still play it for the longest time though, even if it locked me out of seemingly every quest mod on the nexus at the time. Really, why? It makes no sense. Why are people willing to tolerate bethesda's crap? I got sick of dancing around them all the time myself. I would never go back to SE. If my computer fries and my next one can't run LE at all, that would mean Skyrim is gone to me forever. Especially since I would have to accept the AE update, which I will NEVER DO NO MATTER WHAT. SE is dead to me, literally. It was replaced with another game entirely. Only LE is true Skyrim. Why then are most mod authors only releasing stuff for LE? Do they not mod the game themselves? Do they not know what everyone else has to go through to get their mods to work? When I played SE, it was an utter nightmare. Yeah, I'm coming here just to bash on SE, but its because I'm getting sick of being ignored on the LE forum for no reason. That should by all logic have most of the players, so why does it not? SE should be dead after the AE update. Who's even playing it anymore? The dwindling number of people who like me refused the AE update? What's going on? Did someone come up with a solution to disable that cheap CC garbage? Did someone find a way to make old SKSE mods work in the new version? Honestly, if I had to play without skse, I literally wouldn't know where to look. Like I said, seemingly every mod requires it. I literally know of no mod that doesn't. Sorry for the ramble, what on earth is going on? This makes zero sense! Sorry if I offended someone. I'm honestly just baffled by this, and as said also frustrated with the lack of support for LE on this site.
showler
Firstly, because your "SE is unmoddable" stuff is absolute nonsense. Secondly, because as the more popular, more moddable, more up to date version of the game continues to diverge from the older version of the game it becomes increasingly hard to port an SSE mod to LE for the benefit of those who still use it. anjenthedog
Because LE's limitations have made it less attractive for mod authors, who are often programmers, who usually want to stay up to date instead of specializing on antiquated products with less capability than newer versions. TheDivineHustle
Just upgrade to SE. It was a big move for me but it was totally worth it having up to date mods and everything run significantly better.
xrayy
Just upgrade to SE. It was a big move for me but it was totally worth it having up to date mods and everything run significantly better.i confirm. if you do not play on 32bit limited hardware upgrade to sse. memory management is a lot faster and more efficient. there is no 3.xx GB limit due to 32bit and so on. loading times are faster. no ctd due to reaching a ram limit and so on. yeah. ae is headache like all bethesda updates as always but no reason to fall back to old 32bit ;)
