itskubz
I tried to mod Bayonetta recently and it wont work, I have followed all the tutorials and instructions when installing, made sure it was enabled and all the files were on the right drive, and even tried to change the location of the mods to the same partition as the game, still wont work in-game, I have made a report which I will attach as a file, but I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with this, if it's the mod itself or something else, any help would be appreciated, thanks. Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted May 10, 2023 Community Manager Share Posted May 10, 2023 Based on the report your provided, you just haven't deployed the mod. Follow the instructions under the Bell icon for help fixing this. Be aware that if your game/staging folder are on an external drive it may not work if the drive isn't using an NTFS file system. MrMittenstFancyFeast
I have confirmed all of what you recommended and they are still not working, is it maybe a steam update? I tried manual and vortex installs of several mods and none of them work. :(
ChemBoy1
You need to make sure the mod files ended up in the correct location. The extension is extremely basic, and if the mod author did not set up the folder structure correctly, the mod files won't be in the right place. As it is right now, the contents of the mod archive are deployed to the "data" folder. The extension tries to find a file with the '.dat' extension and place it there. Also, the extension contains some serious errors, like improper gameId check on the mod installer. There are also contradictory paths as a write check is performed for "Bayonetta/data" folder, but the installer installs to just "data" folder. The extension author has not logged into Vortex since August 2023, so I assume they are no longer active in the community.
