offroadkitty
So yeah, haven't played fallout 4 in a few years. Felt like getting back into it recently. Decided to switch from Vortex over to Mod Organizer 2 because I liked the idea of having a virtual folder set up for all of my mods that way my base game folder stays clean. But I seem to be hitting a snag when it comes to the Looksmenu / BodyStudio stuff. I don't mind putting the bodystudio stuff off to the side for now.. I wanted to download some presets, specifically Preset pack at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) / Preset pack 2 at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) / Preset pack 3 at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) / A Big Tiddy Goth Girl - Looksmenu preset - Now with optional bodyslide preset at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) along with all of their respective mod requirements. The result so far has been less than ideal. I am not totally familiar with Mod Organizer 2 and I'm not quite sure how to check for conflicts between the various mods needed to use the three preset packs. I've tried looking online to see what specifically causes the brown face to appear, and some results suggested that it might be a resolution discrepancy? I'm not really sure how I would go about checking that out with MO2. I'm just not really sure on how to go about fixing this issue because I'm really not a fan of the vanilla faces and I don't want to take the time to use vanilla settings to build a character when the mods already exist. I've thought about trying the different required mods one at a time for preset pack 1 and seeing which one gives me the issue, but I don't know if there is a more efficient way using MO2. I can provide more information if needed, but for now I just have the screenshot. https://imgur.com/a/xECRTox - screenshot of the brown face issue. MalachiDelacot
I have a link that may help you with the brown face. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/31028 Here is a picture that shows what it did for me. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/images/245305 Wish I could help more and hope you resolve your problems. offroadkitty
Thank you for the suggestion but unfortunately that had no effect on my issue. Think I'm just going to live inside a helmet or mask for now until I get more familiar with MO2 and things and stuff.
offroadkitty
After trying some other preset mods.. I've come to the determination that any sort of face texture just does not want to work for me and results in that brown face. I've tried Hi Poly Faces, Alternate Female Face Textures, Hooper & Tobe.. none of them seem to work properly for me. I wanted to try again with Christine Looksmenu Preset at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) and I would really like to match the face in the screenshots but until I figure out why MO2 doesn't like face texture mods.. vanilla facial features it is I guess. Often I find when I DL all the prereqs one of them will conflict and cause brwonface bug or monstrous proprtions. My advice.DL the packs with partial prereqs and then just use the 2 or 3 faces that worked out well.
offroadkitty
So far I have yet to find a face texture pack that doesn't result in a brown face so I've just been using hair/makeup/tattoo required mods and using vanilla faces until I figure out why face textures won't work. 363rdChemicalCompany
So far I have yet to find a face texture pack that doesn't result in a brown face so I've just been using hair/makeup/tattoo required mods and using vanilla faces until I figure out why face textures won't work. I have found hipolyface redux does well. textures like:-hooper and tobe-Valkyr-collections of textures and presets work well for some presets but not others. They will be listed in the requirements but if you have a previous texture still enabled it will mess it up. I usually play as a male but when I play around with a female playthrough I once found the best looking and most realsitci prest that I got working had requirements that caused brownface on many of the NPC girls, especially the ones downloaded by mods (Hookers of the Commonwelath and Commonwealth captives had about 1 in 4 girls with rust face) I find to settle on one texture and only use presets that work with it. if u have the bethesda HD DLC you MUST run a bug fix mod to now have brown face.this is one I use:High Res DLC Black Face Fix at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) I also use this in addtion Rusty Face Fix at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)
offroadkitty
That one seems to work as far as using it with the Christine presets. Dunno how I forgot to try that one as I had downloaded it back in 2018 the last time I was messing around with Fallout 4.
bill8872
Try uninstalling the high res dlc pack, and then retry the different face, body texture mods. The one's I am using, High poly faces, 2k face mod, and I think a few others. You might need to do some arranging on the left side of MO2, but it is possible to get them to work without getting the black face bug.
