Oblivionaddicted
Hello everybody! Kiling an enemy before (s)he notices your presence is not fighting hence my limitation to these 4 close-combat styles. I would also like to know the reason(s) why you favor one style over the others.
anjenthedog
with that said, I carry both dual wield weapons (war axes and daggers, all enchanted btw), and a sword and shield, since sometimes a shield (in my case, the magic shield you get from the anti vomit quest) is necessary the dual wield weapons because dual wield is fast, and for my player seems to carry the most punch (sorry can't think of the shield name or the quest name from which you get it, but I think I represented both well enough for someone to "get it")
TheVampireDante
(sorry can't think of the shield name or the quest name from which you get it, but I think I represented both well enough for someone to "get it")Spellbreaker, Peryite's artifact from the quest "The Only Cure". As for my choice - Eh, I'm split, since it depends on the character I'm playing at the time - but, mostly it's between weapon/spell and 2-handed. That's ultimately how I feel too. Frankly, I use my bow as much as possible to avoid direct combat, but once it becomes close-quarters, then I have to choose another weapon set. (But bows weren't included) I can add that the only weapons I never use are the two handed stuff. If I played a tank I might, but I don't tank. And is it unrealistic to carry all that junk? Yeah. Do I care? Not a hoot. so, to be most accurate in my stance:1) bow2) dual wield3) sword (or war axe) and shield
Gunslinger808
Always played as a tank, so two handed weapon for me, battle axes preferred.Yeah, it can be a little limiting as I can’t cast, but considering I charge in for CQB it’s not that great a handicap. Also, my followers/companions are magic weilders so they are good about taking care of ranged attacks. IsharaMeradin
For melee, one handed and magic. Being able to swap between spells and scrolls has saved my arse a few times. Though, not all the time. I only level up two handed once I get my hands on The Ebony Blade. Then I stop leveling it when it maxes out. I usually do not make the 2h skill legendary. Oblivionaddicted
I use a weapon and magic. With a maximum smithing perk and the fortifying objects my character is as protected as a tank while my sword is as sharp as a razorblade. I use a ring to accelerate the regeneration of health and a mix of shock damage and absorb health on my weapon. If the enemy hits too hard despite of hit I can use an absorb health spell to fastly heal my wounds and balance the power ratio.
