They appear in Aztec sroties, they appear in chinese stories. But how do you explain that the same creature is in the stories of two different cultures who had absoulutly no contact with each other? Easily. Both cultures created a mythology that involved a giant monster. The first creators of it looked at a lizard and used it as inspiration for their monster. Besides, the two dragons are not the same. Look at chinese dragons vs. european ones, they aren't the same thing like you'd expect if they were literal truth. But if 'exist' means to exist in general, not necessarily on Earth, maybe on some other planet, or even in someone's imagination, then yes, dragons exist.
