New hardware + clean install windows - no backup

Hello,

So I did a hardware change and did a clean install of Windows... but I forgot to make a backup of Vortex mods.

I have multiple disks. Vortex mods (Skyrim) are installed on another disk then the windows install.

Is there a way for Vortex to recognize these already installed/downloaded mods on that disk?

Because when i try to select the map with the previous installed mods, Vortex tells me the map needs to be empty...

I'm not really in the mood or really willing to spend the time to download +300 mods again and manually set their settings.
Heck I don't even remember what the settings were for most of them.

I just want Vortex to recognize the already installed mods, this possible?

Kind Regards

Not properly, no.

What you have is a bunch of installed mod files without the information on why they were installed that way.

You might be able to do a hack job by creating a new empty folder for Vortex's Skyrim staging folder, then copying all the folders from the old staging folder to the new one. Vortex should see them as newly added mods and allow you to deploy them. However, you won't be able to properly associate them with the downloaded archives they originally came from probably, and you'll need to recreate any file override rules for conflicting files.
