dreamlog
I was using a "Profile A" with its own saves, and then switched to an older "Profile B" that also has its own saves. I checked the save games tab, the save folders, and the ini file and they are all correct, but when I launch Skyrim SE, it's still showing just the saves from Profile A. When I move the saves from Profile B into Profile A's folder, they appear. Is there something I'm missing?
Pickysaurus
Maybe you edited SkyrimCustom.ini which overrides Vortex's edits to the regular INIs?
dreamlog
Maybe you edited SkyrimCustom.ini which overrides Vortex's edits to the regular INIs? I didn't edit it or intend to edit it, but yeah I am seeing the wrong profile being pointed to there. How do I stop this from overriding Vortex? Delete the line? DragonStar99
Did you somehow set your Skyrim ini's to "Read Only"? That might prevent Vortex from switching out or editing the inis with the proper save location when you switch profiles. I know if your using Bethini that it does have a check box for making inis Read Only. Make sure to uncheck and disable that setting.
Solution Pickysaurus Posted June 19, 2023 Solution Share Posted June 19, 2023 Maybe you edited SkyrimCustom.ini which overrides Vortex's edits to the regular INIs? I didn't edit it or intend to edit it, but yeah I am seeing the wrong profile being pointed to there. How do I stop this from overriding Vortex? Delete the line? Yes, remove that line and the game should respect Vortex's settings again.
