Lots of Maintenance?

OK, I get that there's some big changes going on right now, but seriously? The nexuses (nexii?) have gone "down for maintenance" three times in the last 24-48 hours, and has been in such a state the majority of the time I try to access it. This is pretty damn weird.

There have been many big changes to the Nexus over the past month or two, and with big changes comes lots of small problems. The Steam sales also didn't help much when Skyrim became really cheap, likely resulting in a massive increase in traffic to the Nexus. Just be patient, the Nexus will be sorted and running soon, I'm sure.

Those maintenances were often before, but now they're everywhere. Like i switch to a description tab... and see that damn message in place of an actual description. Also, when i open the mod's page, it often opens on an empty tab. Like i see that image tab is selected, but nothing is under it. I click the image tab again and it loads the content. Why does it start from the image tab(or the other one) at all? Why not the description? Nexus is very annoying with all this right now.

Are you searching for mods in "flat" mode or "block" mode? If you're in flat mode and you click the file's image, not the file's name, it takes you to the images tab and not the description tab...

It's more like either "lag" or the content not loading, than the which tab it shows.

E.g., that it shows no images until you click on the image tab again.

Or sometimes it seems to be lagged, so to speak. E.g., I click on the description tag, it loads and loads and loads and shows nothing. I click on the images tab, NOW the description comes up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I know you guys are frustrated with the network problems and all. Just clarifying the problem he describes, that's all.

Exactly as Morealin said. English is not my native, so it was rather hard for me to explain those issues.

Is anyone actually happy about "clicking the file's image takes you to the images tab" feature? Personally, i find this kinda irrelevant.

I had block mode set in Preferences - Your search preferences - Default file view. Going to try the flat one now.

Well, although I do make a point of reading not only the descriptions, but also the first couple of pages of the mod's thread (to see if there's some problem I should be aware of, like, say, people complaining it got broken by the last game patch), I have been known to start with the pictures. Sometimes it's fairly clear by the mod name what the mod adds -- e.g., a collection of armours -- but what will decide whether I download it is whether it's the style I wanted. After all, it would be a terrible insult to anyone, to kill them when I'm badly dressed :p

And I usually have a very specific style in mind for my character. (Not that there's anything wrong with the other styles, mind you.)

But, anyway, I'll want to see the pictures first, and worry about descriptions of where to get it or what the stats are only if the pics sold it to me.

So, yea, I kinda like having a shortcut directly to the pics. It's not some deal-breaker, mind you. Just a nice convenience. Saves me a click.
