nexusmods051987
After installing FWE Part 1, 2, and the Hotfix my game stopped working properly. When the initial loading screen starts my mouse cursor doesn't appear and I'm unable to skip to the main menu, even with the keyboard. It goes through each screen until it gets to the main menu, but I still have no mouse cursor and none of the options appear on the right side of the screen. 00 Fallout3.esm01 Anchorage.esm02 ThePitt.esm03 BrokenSteel.esm04 PointLookout.esm05 Zeta.esm06 CRAFT.esm07 CALIBR.esm [Version 1.4]08 StreetLights.esm09 FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm0A FO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.esp0B AlternateStart.esp0C GNR Enhanced.esp0D Flora Overhaul.esp0E Fellout-Full.esp0F Fellout-PointLookout.esp10 Fellout-Zeta.esp11 FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp12 FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp13 FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.esp14 FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.esp15 FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.esp16 FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp17 FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced.esp++ Fellout-Anchorage.esp [Version 1.0]++ Fellout-BrokenSteel.esp [Version 1.1]++ Fellout-pipboylight.esp18 Bashed Patch, 0.esp I've been installing these mods one at a time using FOMM and rebuilding my patch one at a time using Wrye Bash. I've been loading the game one at a time using FOSE. I'm pretty sure I'm using the latest version of FOSE. I'm using the one from Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/8606?tab=filesI've had no problems until installing FWE. I uninstalled FWE and the game works fine again. I reinstalled FWE and I still have the same problem. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Will someone please help me?
M48A5
Where is the game installed? What are your system specifications? Also, StreetLights.esm should be between ThePitt and BrokenSteel.Since you have Fellout-Full, you do no need the DLC versions. You do not have that many mods that you should be having this problem. However, it is better to install FWE manually than to rely on a mod manager. nexusmods051987
I installed the game to (C:)/Games.I have a VivoBook laptop with Windows 11 Home and a 64-bit OS. It has Intel Core i5-1035G1 1.00Ghz processors and 12GB of RAM.I tried installing FWE manually like ya said, but I still have the same issue. I don't think it's my processors. I did the ini fix for that.
nexusmods051987
I tried changing bBackground Mouse to 1 in the Fallout ini. It showed the mouse cursor when I started the game, but it just showed the loading ring. It's like it's trying to load something.
M48A5
You should check the SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. The game requires a 2.3GHz processor and you have a 1GHz processor. It definitely is your processor. Edited June 26, 2023 by M48A5
showler
To be fair, it requires a 2.4ghz Pentium 4 from 2013. The i5 from 2019 is considerably more powerful.

nexusmods051987
How could it be the processor though? I'm able to play the game without FWE

M48A5
Fallout 3 does not play well with multi-core processors with more than 2 cores. There are numerous threads explaining this and explaining the solution. However, a 1Gb processor is less than half the requirement to play the game. As for the RAM, the game engine will only use 2G of RAM unless the game .exe is made large address aware. So that does this mean? Your equipment is not up to the task of running the game with FWE.
