Do you smoke?

I am just wondering how many of the people on these forums smoke cigarettes. I do smoke, and not TOO occasionally either - I am not a heavy smoker, but I smoke enough to be worried about my health, so I think I'll quit altogether. The problem is, I have already tried, I can go for a LONG time without smoking - months, a year - but then there is always a moment in which I feel lonely or depressed and think WHO CARES and start smoking again, or a moment in which I'm out with my friends having a good time and I just think - meh, I feel like smoking a cigarette now!

 

What is your personal experience with smoking, and what do you think?

I tried a few years ago. It was a cherry flavour cigarette. :laugh2: It was either a total crap, or I didn't breathe the smoke hard enaugh. I didn't feel any taste. That was my first and the last cigarette.

I smoked for about half a year and then i just quit thought it was pointless. It was easy for me to completly quit anyway because i only really smoked on weekends and when i was out with my friends but now i just dont touch them.

Years ago - for a few months until I thought 'what a waste of money'. I have not smoked since except one rolled specially for me in Myanmar (Burma) where it would have been difficult to refuse.

Absolutely not. Never have, never will. Not after seeing how badly my grandparents have paid for their habits. A slow and painful death isn't my idea of fun.

Both my Granddads died from heart problems, which were induced by smoking. Never met them in fact, so I dont plan on smoking.

I don't want to smoke and I don't know how people can stand smoking. I honestly think it should be made illegal in the U.S. But that's for another thread.

smoked nearly 20-30 ciggys a day then decided i had had enough and quite... yeah id like to think it was that easy :)

I got Pneumonia ( Have NO clue how to spell it ) from my father smoking so much. Asked him to quit and he did but I definitly don't plan on smoking, Got my own sob story.
