Trips2007
I sometimes play on my desktop and other times on my laptop. I would like Vortex to keep the list of mods I use in sync between both computers ideally including the active/inactive status. When searching the internet, I came across instructions for transferring mods from one computer to another by copying files. That isn't my goal. When asking ChatGPT how to solve this, it said:Sync your Vortex account: Once signed in, navigate to the account settings or options within Vortex. Look for an option to sync your account or enable cloud synchronization. I don't see any such option, so I guess ChatGPT may have halucinated. Is there a way to keep my chosen mods in sync between computers? I hoped just by being signed in that it would recognize those choices, but it does not. Perhaps there's a way to publish a "playlist" or collection for my own use? Perhaps there's another option I'm missing to achieve this goal? Pickysaurus
You can create a Collection, that's basically what you're asking for.
AugustaCalidia
The synchronization you desire is possible, although not with Vortex itself, as you have discovered. To synchronize Vortex settings for my two computers, I use a synchronization program, two hdd docking stations, and a dedicated hdd. I synch from one computer to the hdd, and then I synch from the hdd to the other computer. In no more than five minutes I am able to synch all my Vortex settings (including active/inactive status) on these two computers. Originally I had set up this process for synchronizing large video and picture files. Once I discovered how easy it was, I decided to include Vortex in my synchronization schedule. Finally, although I could probably achieve the same results using a network drive, I have chosen not to do so.
