Hot key for bow and arrows

Hi all,

I want a bow and all my steel arrows in a hot key slot. Is there a way to assign them to a key simultaneously? Currently, whichever I nominate last (eg arrows) takes over from whatever I nominated before (in this case, the bow). Both choices don't seem to want to be together in the same slot. I only found this out when I encountered a bandit in the road and all I could do was impotently wave an empty bow at him.

I don't think that's possible in the vanilla game but there's a bunch of hotkey mods for Oblivion, maybe one of them has what you need.

Vanilla Oblivion can't bind hotkey to multiple items, but as IcelandicPsychotic mentioned there are plenty of hotkey mods, mainly using OBSE. Quick look on Nexus showed that "Enchanced Hotkeys" can offer this feature, on the last picture it shows how to make such binding. You will need MenuQue plugin for OBSE too and from comments I sometimes see complains about difficulties to make it work, but it seems this mod is exactly what you're looking for.

Just to close this off, I found a solution. Before assigning a hot key, equip your character with your bow and the associated batch of arrows you want to use. Then assign the hotkey and tell it to equip the bow. The arrows are automatically included. Afterwards you can equip any other weapon and the hot key will still bring up the bow and the arrows when activated.
