cjmontanaro
for the past several months, nexus mods, the entire site, will not permit me to log in, download, or have anything to do with ANY mods due to it continually refreshing to an entirely different page. I have no clue how I should go about fixing this. My computer is only 5 months old, so there is nothing wrong with it. If anyone knows something, please, I could use a hand. Again, the key problem is the website continually refreshing except on the forums for whatever reason. I am also unable to access the Nexus Login Server from the mod manager. Dark0ne
What do you mean by "it continually refreshes to an entirely different page"? What page does it refresh to? It sounds like you've got adware or spyware on your PC.
cjmontanaro
ok, say I click on a mod or attempt to do anything mod related, it immediately refreshes and loads to the New Files page. im logged in now, but I had to be quick about it. im constantly going from the new files page to the page I want, and back again. simply put, its like tug of war. I also cant reach the nexus login server, yet I have excellent wifi connection. I don't seem to have this issue on the forums or other modding sites. Please, enlighten me on what can be done. Dark0ne
What browser are you using? Have you tried using a different browser?
cjmontanaro
I generally use bing. I just tried accessing the site off of msn, google, and ask with the same results. So, my question is this: what is spyware and adware? and could the site just be preventing my computer from loading the pages for whatever reason? im a little weary, but my curiosity has been piqued. Also, I performed a deep scan through Norton. Came up clean. Would you just advise using a different site? you have better things to do than have me pester you i'm sure. Dark0ne
Ok those aren't browsers; bing, google and ask are websites. Browsers are Internet Explorer, Fire Fox and Google Chrome. They're the software you use to actually access and browse the internet.

camaro_69_327
Using Chrome....i get that now and again...Do a search and when clicking a mod and then going back i loose my search.....so... What i always do now is....after a search...i leave that page alone, each mod i want to check out i right click and "open in a new TAB" that way my search stays put...works every time. DeezAssaultron
@cjmontanaro This may be a little late... But I also had this problem too. I use windows 10 with Microsoft edge and couldn't figure out why this was happening, it didn't do it with any other site OTHER than nexus. So, long story short, I restarted my computer, and now it doesn't seem to happen. Hopefully this helps or you fixed it by now. Much luck!
