warren2500
I have seen a lot of Vampire races on this site but no werewolves.(i will be calling the lycans) So i was wondering if anyone could make any. Im no good at making races. I always thought that it was a little unfair that there was a Vampire race and no lycans. After i watched underworld rise of the lycans i wanted a lycan race for Oblivion. I know that making a lycan will be hard. That might be one of the reasons that there isnt any around. But if there is anyone willing to take on this task i will be gratefull. Here is my idea of the lycan race. If its possible i would like to have 3 different types of lycans/werewolves. I have been digging up on different ideas and i finally chose my three. All three are practically usless with magic and personality(speechcraft and mercantile). One would be a like Michael from the first Underworld movie. When he is in his hybrid form. This one should be the same size as an Imperial The second one would be like this. The hide should be black if possible. should also be tallest of the three. The las one would look like this This one should be a bit more muscular than the others and taller than the Hybrid. It should have a white hide. The hight difference shouldnt be too much. Wondering anything else just ask :P

Draco856
I think your misunderstanding. My interpretation of this is that s/he wants it to be permanent. So it's a werewolf body that isn't an item that can be removed to show a human body underneath. The mods you listed add a lycan body suit, but no real werewolves that can be played as a custom race. Deleted771212User
I think this could be done by modding khajiits. I don't have skills for that but in my opinion it would be the easiest way to create werewolf race...

LHammonds
It should be noted here that the difficulty with custom races is that they all need to share the same skeleton and animations that other humans / NPCs use because of the way the game engine was designed. Even though there are model-level differences, the Orc / Human / Elf / Argonian races all share the same skeletal structure and animations. You would not be able to create a hunched-over creature as a race that reacts like you'd think a half-man / half-wolf would react. They would move the same as an NPC when walking, running and fighting. Granted, there have been many race mods that make convincing alterations but there are limits to what you can do. That's why you do not see people as dinosaurs, spiders, fish, etc. In the end, there would have to be a compromise to fit the human skeleton...much like how the Lycan Bodysuit was done. When I worked on Lost Paladins of the Divines, I initially had the werewolves as NPCs but ran into the problem that they just looked and sounded like guys in suits. I had to make it into a creature and utilize Xivilia and Spriggan animations to give them a more animalistic demeanor. There is also the issue of the custom-sized model needing its own set of clothing and armor since none of the stock items will work. That will be a LOT of work unless you simply said "no armor or clothing" will be allowed....which would limit the fun factor quite a bit. You'd have to have something to counter the lack of using 5 armor slots. No matter how you try to implement this, there will have to be hard choices made, compromises and a LOT of effort put in if you are going for quality.
