petray
Hi Dark0neVery quick note to say I have managed (I think) to reply to the Dwonloading post as below ref different pages. My browser cocked up sometyhing rotten and although it looks fine on this page when I was doing it - nothing like this at all. I am surprised it worked. However that is nothing to do with you. :sick:As you can see emoticons worked this time - maybe it is the browser I was using - Chrome is really bad sometimes. I did say I would attach a small print of what I was seeing but I can't find any 'attachment' menu button - so I can't send it. Basically Chrome loads up the first page of any listing in your categories but when you go to page 2 it stops using your template and goes to a white background with trwo columns - left is simple link to mod page & right is very small thumbnail piccy. Yes I will use Firefox from now on. Can I give up now - I am getting realy confused.
vegeta0585
Connection to the servers are taking a ridiculous amount of time, and in the case of premium servers not even working. I signed up for premium service and clicking one of the premium servers takes me open the window saying download will start.....aaaaand white page with random Oblivion/fallout/skyrim links on the side back to nexus. Then the non premium server...1-30 seconds? try 2-5 minutes of waiting for the download to pop up. Half the time I'm like "whatever, I dont need this mod." and just go browse some more...then 10 minutes later "hey look, download this mod, its ready!" ...wait what? I closed that out a long time ago.
petray
Hi Dark0ne This is getting to be intolerable. Skinny Dipping is the mod. I downloaded it manually first time -no error- no trouble. I then went to download by manager = 21 x file does not exist. Then I gave up (even I have a limit to my patience)! This was at around 18:25 UK Time. I really do think you are going to lose your customers if this continues - remember that 'hits' do not differentiate between success and failure. You may be getting increased hit rates but that (I think) only reflects the greater number of failures you are getting. We all love this site and we all fully appreciate the work you are doing and trying to do. Really we do - but!!!!
Thandal
No such thing as "customers" on the Nexus...It's a free service, remember.
Octopuss
Today is specially horrible. Opening ~300kB image on Nexus takes ten seconds on average. The site is pretty much unusable.
petray
No such thing as "customers" on the Nexus...It's a free service, remember.A customer is one for whom you provide a service. If Nexus did not have customers their adverts (yes they do) would not get read and they would fold. Also do not forget the 'premium member' they are certainly not free. Nexus has a good reputation and we all love it and wish it well but this muck-up has gone on just a little too long and 'customers' may well transfer their allegiance to - say- Tess Alliance??? The Dark0ne has/is putting in a lot of work and we do really appreciate it. Even the Saints run out of patience and I am certainly not one of those. I really do wish the site well but their priority must be to restore acceptable service to customers before they start work on anything else. 21 errors saying a file does not exist when we all know it does is not an acceptable service. The site is pretty much unusable. Not unusable but requiring a little more patience than most others. It is rather like saying ' you may come in but the door is stuck and I want to polish the counter before I unstick it'!! Give them time and things will work out but they do need to get their priorities in better order. Don't give up yet.

If Nexus did not have customers their adverts (yes they do) would not get read and they would fold. Also do not forget the 'premium member' they are certainly not free. The Nexus provides a service for its members, who are the mod authors and users. If anyone can claim the status of "customer", it would be those paying to have their adverts shown here. (I don't think any of us want Dark0ne to put their interests first.) And while the "Premium" members have made a voluntary contribution to the Nexus, the service itself is still free and that still isn't being a customer.
