LeddBate
FYI, if you are allowing ads on the sites, you are not a leech. By just allowing ads, you are helping to pay for the servers, tech support and NMM development. We are NOT considering blocking or limiting people that do block the ads. We always hope they will at least contribute by helping on the sites in some way - even if it's just tagging a few mods from time to time. if you don't like ads ( and who does?) a supporter account costs only about US $2 - that is ONE payment ONE time and NOT a subscription for no ads forever. Plus there are a few other benefits as well.Do you know of any other site that does this? Note that anyone who ever buys even one month of Premium access (less than US $5) automatically gets supporter status forever for no more money. :woot: I turned off my No-Script plug-in, told Avast to stop blocking the adds through their Firefox plug-in, then told Firefox itself to let 'er rip. But, I still can't see the ads. Don't know what I'm missing... weird. However, I will be buying a premium membership next month. So I hope that will make up for not being able to support you guys through the ad clicks.

TheCoastIsBen
Even with all of the issues going around, still gotta say that Nexus is the best. The stuff that Dark0ne and all of you guys running the site do is awesome. So a big old thank you to all of y'all.
Kaliflax
In response to post #11463417. #11470014 is also a reply to the same post.I love this site, but I haven't been playing Skyrim recently so I stopped coming for a little. Now I am getting the itch again and I come back and much to my dismay, it seems that nothing works for me. Every time I install a mod I cross my fingers that it will actually load properly (which it doesn't) and even so, it takes like 10 minutes to copy a 50mb mod to the Skyrim folder? I am not sure what happened in the amount of time I was gone, but I remember that everything worked fluidly and seamlessly as I downloaded tons of mods and updated them as well.I thought that technology was supposed to get better as you updated it, not worse.. Very sad :(
absol89
I had a lot of problem with my "default" manager download server, i think it was london 2I had to use london 6 manually all the time, and the mod manager sometimes crashes when i add stuff manually :/

petray
Today's been pretty bad; we hit what looks like the next limit in our setup at 8,500 concurrent users, up from about 5,500 on the original setup. Traffic is progressing at quite a steady rate and we're having to play catch up. I cut short a dinner for a couple of friend's birthdays to come back and provide moral support to the staff sorting it out at 10pm tonight. The downloading side of things has been bad all month, this news post is still relevant to the ongoing work in that area. We hope to have both a new NMM version out to make that side of downloading a lot better and a new download mechanism for the manual side of things as well, this week. Can you expand on what you mentioned about the mod lists? Give links and a step by step run through of what you're doing and what you're seeing. It doesn't sound or seem right. RE: the bbcode buttons not working, what page are you posting from? If you're posting from the forums then the text is in RTE format, which means you have to highlight the text, then click the formatting option, and it'll apply it in What You See Is What You Get format. There's a few different mediums for posting so you might not be using the same one as me, though.Today's been pretty bad; we hit what looks like the next limit in our setup at 8,500 concurrent users, up from about 5,500 on the original setup. I will try to reply here and hope you get this (I might put a small post at the start just to let you know I have replied) With regard to mod page listings - it would appear that Chrome Browser is the culprit cos doing identical searches with Firefox and Chrome - Firfox worked as it should chrome didn't. I would post a picture but the way this reply has set itself up I can't. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/searchresults/?src_order=2&src_sort=0&src_view=1&src_tab=1&src_cat=54&src_showadult=1&ignoreCF=0&page=3&pUp=1 this is the firefox http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/ajax/csearch/?src_order=2&src_sort=0&src_view=1&src_tab=1&src_cat=51&src_showadult=1&ignoreCF=0&page=2 this is the chrome The best I can offer is to attach the picture to a new post up front. I will refer to this and hope you can marry. BBE Emoticon buttons - dunnno - I was trying to 'post new topic' and nothing worked. It doesn't here either but that doesn't surprise me as this page I (yes me) seem to have cocked up anyway.
