AVX FIX, similar to Cyberpunk 2077

If your CPU cannot run an AVX instruction, it will not be able to handle running the game in general. What you are asking for will not provide you with what you want in the end. That being an enjoyable playing experience with this game.

Cyberpunk 2077 and God of War I have running at 70-100 FPS, these are games in which AVX was at the output, and subsequently deleted. When you write your (unnecessary to anyone) opinion, first read more about the topic! The "smart guy" came (for what?), farted and left.

Says the poor dude who can't afford a computer made in the past 10 years. I'll say it again, maybe you need to hear it a couple times to understand it. AVX is hard coded into Creation Engine. The other games you listed do not use Creation Engine. You will never get an "remove AVX patch". Go flip a few more burgers so you can buy a new CPU.

Also, you used CP2077 as an example, but you don't even understand how AVX was "removed" from CyberPunk. That game had instructions that were flagged to use AVX, so those flags could be removed. Starfield was COMPILED with/in AVX. There is no way to remove it, no mod, no hack, nothing will work. Just give it up. You are complaining your CPU doesn't have AVX capability, but that tech came out 11 years ago. ELEVEN YEARS AGO <.....

ELEVEN YEARS AGO.

... lol, just a Troll, don´t feed him.

Removing AVX is entirely possible, don´t worry. If it´s doable via a mod is another question, as the .exe needs to be compiled without using AVX instructions, blabla, as stated above.

AVX is not hardcoded in the Creation Engine (just SF), no other game with it needs AVX and the engine is decades old, so it should run on decades old hardware, which is still compareable to a Ryzen 5 3600X performance wise

However, I don´t think Bethesda cares, because just look at the state of that game on PC and still no patches in sight. Optimised for XBox 30FPS and nothing else really works correctly (HDR, Gamma, Sun rendering on AMD, performance, load screen hell, etc.).

I playtested it meanwhile and while being kinda fun, it feels just quite old somehow... outdated. Story/Background didn´t really pull me in either, everything is so copy/pasted from Firefly, Cyberpunk, Expanse and Star Wars/Trek, which all do it better. And I really struggled to like even one of the companions.

That's not how that works. Just because the origins of the engine is 25 years or so ago doesn't mean it's the same engine as it was. It changes with each game, and is recompiled for each change, so it very well could (and likely does) have avx instructions in it for starfield. Saying the engine is decades old is like saying the current unreal engine is also decades old (it's only a year younger than Bethesda's engine).

Could someone remove the avx instructions, sure it's possible but I'd question the worthwhileness of that task. Technology moves on and eventually has to abandon older hardware. It's like asking for a 32 bit version of the game or a dx11 version

That´s what I said  I know SFs version of the creation engine has it in it, but the others (Skyrim, etc.) not, which, in conjunction with cyberpunk, leads me to think a removal should be possible without problems.

A lot of people ask for a DX11 version BTW, as I figured when you mentioned it. I couldn´t resist searching for it (lolz) and especially Intel GPU owners seem to attribute their bad performance to SFs bad implementation of DX12.

Problems that arise when using a decades old engine and just upgrading it. Like the sun not rendering on AMD, even when it´s optimised for AMD.

Concerning 32bit just a quote from a german forum:

"... 32 Bit Engine auf 64 Bit laufen lassen und nicht mal ca 3,2 GB Ram verwenden was zu ständigen nachladen bei Tür öffnen führt so wie bei ESO führt ist keine neue Engine die 64 Bit verarbeitet und mehr Ram beanspruchen kann.Typisch Bethseda... "

In short this translates to: The engine is 32bit in the end and that´s why we have all those loading screens. They just pimped it a bit to only run on 64bit.

I don't think you understand what upgrading an engine means. Your complaints and the way you phrase them tell me you know very little about how software in general works or is maintained.

If you want to complain about the engine being decades old, why aren't you screaming about your OS being 30 years old and just being made to look like it's 64bit?

Your here complaining about avx and then saying Bethesda needs to optimize the game, all while demanding they remove an optimization and make the game objectively worse in order to support hardware that is years older then the specified minimum hardware

You are like an empty drum, there is a lot of noise and there is emptiness inside.

- "If you want to complain that the engine is several decades old, why don't you shout that your operating system is 30 years old and it just looks like 64-bit?" - they don't complain here, they constact the fact here!

- "so that they remove optimization and objectively worsen the game" - optimization? worsened? Where is the optimisation now and where is what would have worsened without the AVX in Starfield, let's be more specific specialist. There are a lot of projects on DX11 that look much more attractive than Starfield. You are confusing hay with straw again, there are games made qualitatively / and at the same time optimized. And in this case, we have AVX, fine, what does it improve optimization?. No AVX it will also remain in the same dull form. Why is Skyrim improved by mods (graphics, physics, textures) requires much more resources, yes, because everything has been improved, oh, sorry, there is no AVX there)) So what has changed with the engine in Starfield? Redesigned the engine (very doubtful) and for what? to draw deserts and faceless cities (compare with Cyberpunk 2.0 - excellent optimization) I don't mind understanding all those who shout change your old stuff for a new one, but I don't see for what? sorry graphics of the last decade, physics? is there one? It turns out that I need to change my hardware just because Todd Howard couldn't get into his outdated engine, even sticking AVX from the side? No guys, I will change the platform when the Playstation 6 comes out, and when the games come out of the framework of today's consoles.

Sorry for the auto-translation.
