dezdimona
I like a variety of mods for different reasons. They all add something to my game and to just name one specific type would not give a true correlation of likes and dislikes
jonesjoshuar
I like new buildings personally. There are precious few of those. I love them and That is why i started modelling them. There are things i am still not great in the modelling department but i am starting to get it rather well.
Sogen37
voted other You forgot to mention , animations.... the day I see users able to bounce off walls like devil may cry, or combo an enemy in the air like in guilty gear, and I see controls as smooth as KH2.. then I will be amazed. I like moving fast not slow like the developers made it so o_O

scarb
I can't vote for just one. I started out with a dual wielding mod, because I hate that Oblivion doesn't have true dual wielding, and I have this thing for it. Then I got into companions, which I loved, which, of course, led to new clothes and armor for companions. Of course, I had already downloaded bodh replacers. I also had to get new armor/weapons for my avatar. I then started downloading animation and housing/building mods. Loved them! This started to tax my system, so I got some system improvement and tweaking mods. I then got some houses that had quests and NPC's. Thought this was great, so I got into new towns, adventures, lands, races. I love all types, and if it weren't for the mods, I probably would have played Oblivion through a couple of times and put it aside.
Eshenaleros
In truth, I love to quest. why do i play RPGs? for the story! I had a character before my computer got formatted (memory wipe. ouch.) that had literally completed every quest in the vanilla game, just because i wanted to know all about all the quests. At my current juncture, I'm looking forward to getting a computer again that can run oblivion so that i may begin running through the quests from shivering isles, KotN, and any mods that i find with something remotely like a quest. well, that's an exageration, but you get my meaning. Quests give you a chance to experience roleplaying - being your character for a while as you do the things that your character would do. "Will you help me fight off a troll?" says the farmer. "Absolutely!" says the adventurer. sure, some quests are little more than hack 'n' slash mayhem, but it's the emotions of the NPCs and the player character that really tug at me to find another quest and go through it. Who wants to go on another mindless dungeon crawl when really I could be learning about the political undercurrents of the imperial city? As far as that goes, I'm going to have to suggest the following mods: Malevolent, Ruined Tail's Tale, Tears of the fiend, Heart of the Dead, and The Lost Spires
simonp92
I think Oblivion is Perfect as it is , however I think that you will lose interest in the game if there werent Quest mods
