StormGiantMaster
As title suggest, I think a mod that offer a choice to retains player's ship and/or outposts in NG+ would really help so that one can experience a new galaxy and not having to let go the dream ship and/or the outposts that many put in hundreds of hours of work. SoltyBadger
I'm probably wrong but i was under the impression when you NG+ many of the planets (at least the ones that are procedural) may have different atmospheres and surfaces making it impossible for bases to remain in a new game, unless of course the universe remains identical every time with characters only changing. but i guess if the surface generation uses some kind of seed number to stipulate surface formation, biome and atmosphere then maybe it's possible. dw420
+1 on the Ship part of the request. Not being able to carry over your ship design makes shipbuilding not worthy of ones time. As far as the outposts part is concerned..i'll abstain. It makes sense that outposts are cleared from planets since its supposed to be a new universe , but i can see why people would want to carry over their designs. The planets don't change. The surface sort of changes, in that the tiles are regenerated, but then they do that any time you land at a new location. Terrain isn't proceduraly generated beforehand, it's generated when you land. When you see "explored" next to an outpost or landing marker those are areas the game has saved. The actual planet, atmosphere, gravity, appearance from orbit, surface biome layout, is all predetermined, and a major pain in the ass to change. Well, not the atmosphere, that's easy. I haven't tried changing the gravity yet, there's too many unknowns in the planetdata records to do much tinkering.
