Can not change games

I have been trying to change games in Vortex. When I click activate game, Vortex starts to change profile, but then it gets to "checking for external changes" and then "Stuck? please check your vortex.log file".

 

It does not matter what game I try to active, or if I try to add a game. I get the same thing every time.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Vortex, switched off all my fire walls, but it's always the same.

 

 

 

I have now found that, despite the progress bar going to completely white, during the "Stuck? please check your vortex.log file", if I wait 20-40 minutes, it does change the game.

Sorry that you are having problems.

 

Anything inside of the log file? That is normally found at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Vortex

Which games are you switching from/to?

When things lock up like this in Vortex it can often be a problem with your .NET install or your C++ redistributable. The two posts I've just linked contain the solutions you might want to try.

Si what did the .log file say? Please don't keep us in suspense.

Did you resolve this problem? I'm having the same problem and I think it is down to one of the games being heavily modded. It usually works after several attempts.
