Valkan
Is there a possibilty that there could be two weapon fighting on Oblivion. For ex: A charactor using two daggers or two swords. I think that it would be a great touch to games in itself.
Adras
I'm sure it could be done. It was done in a mod for Morrowind.

Not different versions of the weapon, like a new type of sword(though a double-bladed sword would be cool), but new weapons like grenade-like objects, whips, or anything else they could think of. Abramul
Not really, those mods just let you use shields that look like weapons. But it would be cool.
D@N
oh well I dont want that then.
edstamos1
Weapon pairs would be great. But it's unlikely it could be used to great effect. It doesn't make much of a difference if you're just clicking to attack. Now, if you had two attack buttons, in addition to using the block button to parry, that would make for some complex fighting. Of course, this is an RPG, not an action game. I suppose most people only really want it for looks. I imagine it wouldn't be that hard for them to implement dual weapons. If they have people checking the TES forums for what features people wanted most in Morrowind or Oblivion, I'm sure dual wielding comes up often enough to stand out. Chaosmaker
There are actually gonna be less weapons. Last i checked they're getting rid of the crossbow, throwing knifes, stars darts and so on. There's probally more that there gonna get rid of. I also think they got rid of the claymore
edstamos1
well I know they're getting rid of most projectile weapons. They wanted to put their focus on making regular bows more realistic. I hope they remembered to put it in the left hand this time. a right handed person usually holds the bow in the left hand :P I didn't know they were getting rid of claymores. that's just odd. two-handed swords are great - I use them often. I hope they improve spears/polearms. they were really disappointing in morrowind. I'd like to see some more polearm styles like a ranseur (winged spear) or a naginata inspired weapon. or : :D
Switch
Where'd you get that idea Chaosmaker? I mean, the demo itself at E3 had the guy using a claymore I believe. :D I think there's even a screenie of one on the elder scrolls site. As a sidenote... what game is that screenshot from Ed? ;)
