Asaria123
I have absolutely no clue what could cause this. I have uninstalled vortex in every way possible, given it administrator, given my entire pc edit access to the entire steam folder, tried CHKDSK twice, and also googled every solution out there... I don't understand why this keeps popping up. This is the first time I have ever seen this and it's only with vortex. Just as a note I can't click manage on any games, it keeps giving me warnings about invalid paths (the path exists so I'm not sure why it cant find the path.) Anybody know the solution?? Scortch123
The vortex updates are total garbage. The 2 times I have done the updates from within the program, I have had to totally strip everything out, reinstall vortex and ALL 20+ mods. This time it's giving me startup failed because it's saying some stupid file is write protected. If it is, it's VORTEX that did it

How do you make it self-cause an I/O error..Thats almost strictly system error. Edited September 29, 2023 by Asaria123

Solution Pickysaurus Posted August 8 Solution Share Posted August 8 An I/O Error is a hardware or driver fault. It's not something that can be fixed in Vortex.
