Guest deleted34304850
another thing i thought you could look into...there are posters out there who are next level in terms of helping people. i mean absolute next level. the poster above me, showler is one such example.would it be possible to create some sort of board reputation score which could somehow tally with the existing kudos and/or maybe somehow tie into a reward system? where i'm going with this - those people who are on the forums a lot, helping people - thats positivity. positivity should be rewarded.same if someone reports posts to the moderators and those reports are found to be accurate and on point based on existing tos and other expected behaviours.basically, reward people who seek to create a positive environment through demonstrable means such as helpful posts. That's actually part of what I mean by "Community Champions" in the OP. Although the new board does also have a reputation system we could enable. showler
Slightly more reasonable thought on the spammer problem: Could posts with an absurd link/text ratio be quarantined until approved?
lykosfx
Oi! Bom dia! Exemplo… --- Hey! Good morning! Firstly, I would like to say that my concern about not being able to translate the forum pages, as with the Comments pages in Collections, did not occur here. I can read very tranquility. Congratulations to everyone involved. Well… Taking advantage of the opportunity of this opening, I will leave here a suggestion. During the forum update, one person commented on the lack of trust in unknown people to release their work to third parties. To improve this lack of confidence, people in this community could present some of their knowledge that is used in their daily lives. Example… - Programming Language (HTML, HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, C++ and others); - Modeling (Blender, Zbrush, Maya, 3DMax and others); - Game Creation (Unreal(4/5), Unity, Godot, Construct, RPGMaker and others); - Editors (Image (PhotoShop, CorelDraw, Krita, InkScape, Gimp and others), Video (Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, LightWorks, ShotCut, OpenShot and others), Audio (Audacity, AdobeAudition, WavePad Audio, Ocenaudio, Studio One 5, MP3DirectCut and others), Animation (Adobe Animate, Blender, Maya, Toon Boom Storyboard, K-3D, Daz Studio, Animaker, Pencil2D Animation and others), and others). In the Posting Profile, you could make visible icons relating to the person's knowledge. Example… On the Profile, below “Favorite Game”, there would be icons related to the person’s knowledge. [PS] (protoshop), [UR] (unreal). Or it could be icons related to a Category. [WS] (website – php, javascript, java), [MD] (Modeling – blender). With this type of presentation, trust between users improves, the community grows and helping becomes a normal practice. It would also be interesting to add a thanks button to each post for the help received. Thank you for your attention Edited November 28, 2023 by lykosfx
