fritterlitter
Hey all,I'm very new to modding/vortex, like downloaded this week new. I wanted to make sure I understood how to use the system before buying and downloading a particular game I want to play modded. However, when I downloaded Vortex there is no "Mods" tab and no way to work with collections, which I am interesting in compiling for myself. I'll include a picture of my sidebar. I have tried logging out and in, uninstalling and installing, a combo of both, and going to Extensions, showing bundled, and ensuring Collections is enabled (I've even disabled connections, logged off/restarted, reenabled, then restarted again). Do I need to already have the game purchased and downloaded for the Mods tab to show up? Or is there some other troubleshooting to do? I don't want to spend the money if the program won't even let me mod it
showler
The available tabs change depending on what game you are managing. The mods, profiles, Collections, Plugins (if applicable) tabs will not show up until you are managing a game that is compatible with them. What game are you thinking about? fritterlitter
I want to mod Stardew Valley, which from what I've seen is compatible with collections. Based on your response I'm guessing I'll need to just go ahead and download it/add it to my managed games and the mods and collections tab will come up. That's good to know, I was worried it wouldn't show up at all!
