MuteSignals
Hi all, I just wanted to be the first to welcome everyone to the new?! club feature here on NexusMods for the 'greatest' RPG. I rarely visited much before the new forum update but I feel like we have a great opportunity to link more players and creators together, our game has an exceptionally talented and active community and I look forward to seeing more regulars who comment and share images pop in here! JimboUK
I joined it but I have no idea what it's actually for, I can't see a seperate area for members or anything.
MuteSignals
At first I thought this was the replacement for game specific forums but this exists. 'Mod Ideas' and 'Mod Troubleshooting' are unique to this club though now there's two mod troubleshooting discussion areas for new vegas. However the one in the club is more recently used than over there since the last posts were 2021.
JimboUK
This is a real pain to navigate, I've created a folder on my bookmarks toolbar and put links in that.
Guest deleted34304850
i am yet to fully comprehend why these communities exist - it would make sense if the existing forums for games with communities were ported over into the community, because having two separate locations where people can post is going to cause no end of confusion. madmongo
I don't understand why this exists either. On the old site, you clicked on Community Forums and it took you to a page that had everything all in one place. For reasons that I can't figure out, on this new site they decided to splatter the forums all over the place. Not only is everything scattered, but there is no direct link to any of it. You have to go searching to find all of it. For older games like FNV that don't get a lot of forum traffic, splattering everything all over the place so that no one can find anything is most likely going to completely kill all of the discussions. I can't believe that someone actually thought this was a good idea. These are the bookmarks that I set up on my browser. https://forums.nexusmods.com/forum/345-fallout-new-vegas/ https://forums.nexusmods.com/forum/347-general-new-vegas-discussion/ https://forums.nexusmods.com/forum/351-files/ https://forums.nexusmods.com/forum/8902-discussion/ Four links for what used to be one click, and you can't get directly to any of it from the FNV mod page. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be fired. This is idiotic.

The most popular games were all there on the frontpage but navigating that Game-Specific was just additional clicks, some games have just one post. 1 hour ago, 1ae0bfb8 said: it would make sense if the existing forums for games with communities were ported over into the community. Getting to 'Clubs' seems to be easier, porting everything here would be better. Other sites I can't mention use clubs for 'shared interests' rather than games (People can start their own club here too at the moment, which is abit weird). Edited November 26, 2023 by MuteSignals I mispelled 'Their'.

This is idiotic. i think demanding someone lose their job over something like this is a slight over-reaction. this is all new - people are finding out stuff - if you have feedback that is constructive, then pass it along to the nexxusmods team, but suffixing your findings with statements saying people need to be fired does nothing put invalidate anything that goes before it. JimboUK
The "Overview" link at the top seems like the one to use, it looks like it lists all activity, it's hard to tell though as it doesn't go back very far.

That was hyperbole, not a demand. I don't seriously expect someone to lose their job because some idiot like me complained on their message board. And for what it's worth, I did post basically the same thing in a slightly more polite manner on the feedback section, where it was promptly ignored. That said, they did at least link this section to the FNV mod page, which is a HUGE improvement. If they link the rest of the sections to the FNV mod page (or to here) somehow in the next few days then I'll owe them an apology.
