bradleybrand
The quests which don't appear within the journal maybe harder to track. Perhaps we could make them appear in the player's journal as actual side quests? Seems not so difficult to modify?
Oblivionaddicted
It shoudn't be too diffiicult and you can easily find tutorials about the way scripting works.
GamerRick
Which non-journal quests are you talking about? There may already be a mod that makes it into a real quest.
RomanR
Most Oblivion quests without journal are just helpers or ones driving a dialogues, the only one I can think of is "Attack on Fort Sutch" (MS94), as I use only vanilla Oblivion on PC without any DLCs or expansions. Adding a journal entry should be easy even for a beginner. First select "Characters->Quests..." in the main menu. Once window opens, select a quest you want by clicking on its name in the list (for this example MS94). Then click on button "Quest Stages". Select a number of stage and click in the "Log Entry" window (in this case you don't need select an entry, because there is only one ("EMPTY") and is already selected). Fill it with the short description and by clicking on "OK" button you're done.
bradleybrand
UESP has about 11 hidden quests - https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Side_Quests#Hidden_Quests So example... I wouldn't have quest logs for - 'Black Bow Bandits'. However, maybe 'Attack on Fort Sutch', 'Bittneld and Emfrid', 'Illegal Cargo', etc. These are quests which could be easily missed unless you read a Oblivion WiKi. There's even 'Unwanted Tenants' for the Battlehorn Castle DLC. I completed this task after seeing a YouTube video about it, but wouldn't mind this quest not having any journal log or entries. RomanR
Interesting read about them. On the other hand, now I see why no one seems have much interest in doing it. Quite of them are parts of some DLC, not running fine without patch or straighly ment as an easter egg. I'm afraid this falls into "easy to want, but hard to get" category then. GamerRick
Hmm, thanks for the list. I'll look into it further. I created my own for the first one (A Ring of Keys). The 4th one has mods already. But there are a few I didn't know about. EDIT: OK, I don't see the point of making any of them into a real quest. Okay, thanks for looking into it. My thought was to keep track of ones which don't appear in journal (saying quest started and quest completed)
