showler
That pretty much just falls into the idea that a Fallout game must be America based.
RoNin1971
Not entirely. Vaults might be a problem, but an English branch or competitor doing the same would not be impossible. A British version of power armor or something similar. FEV was released into the atmosphere, which would most likely affect the whole world. So Ghouls etc. are still an option. Nobody escaped destruction & therefor the occasional rad-storm. etc. etc. A lone wolf, in a devastated wasteland, searching for answers. These are the 'ingredients' that make a fallout game. Leave most of that out, and you might as well call it 'Metro London' or anything else. Not saying its bad or anything. Just not Fallout. IMHO. showler
London, along with Europe, was pretty much trashed by the resource wars and was likely not targeted during the "Great War". Vault-tec is pretty uniquely American. Shelters might exist, but they wouldn't be Vaults. FEV in the atmosphere did have an effect, hence Brahmin, but Super Mutants and such come from direct exposure. What it comes down to is whether you see "Fallout" as a genre or as a setting and whether you restrict it to the core setting or to an expanded universe. People have been asking for 25 years now "what happened outside America". It seems weird to me to declare that it is "not Fallout" because the answer is "something different than happened inside America."
