Boethiah's shrine missing

The entire Boethiah shrine is missing. The post in the middle is there, there are some rugs apparently floating in mid air. But the entire statue, spiral top and stairs are not there and there is a deep hole in the terrain where they should be. I have a lot of mods, too many to easily find the culprit, so I advanced the quest with set stage to the point where I need to go to Knifepoint Ridge. At least my follower didn't need to be killed and I sent him away. But has anyone encountered this before?

No. But you make it sound quite exciting as if maybe one of the other daedric lords decided that Boethiah really had to go... I do like your solution though and your ability to see the glass half full rather than half empty! 😉

This just happened to me as well. I had started the quest before the steam update hit on the 5th by visiting the shrine and everything looked normal. Here I am 10 days after the patch and just now revisiting the shrine....  the shrine floor and most other assets (the statue, altar, etc) are missing. There's a couple fires, some rugs, some burnt corpses and other random things all floating in air. I've been trying to desperately find a solution to the missing assets since I found  it like this.

Note, I'm playing on 640 for mod compatibility reasons, I just mention the December 5th patch because after everything I've tried that's the only thing I can think of that may have introduced new bugs.

Things I've tried:

-Disabling mods one at a time until the shrine came back (it never did)

-Purging all mods, verifying the steam installation and upgrading to 1130, redownloading all the CC content, and loading into the game with no mods on. Shrine still gone.

-Keeping all mods disabled but, reverting the 1130 version back to 640 and loading in. Still no shrine.

-Re-installing all mods and loading in.

-Cleaning the plugins recommended by LOOT with xEdit

-Running TexGen (DynDOLOD) with higher resolution settings, and same for the DynDOLOD output (with Large Reference Bug workaround)

-Running TexGen etc with lower resolutions.

-Curling into the fetal position and crying

-Literal hours of googling for fixes, or other people who have had this happen, as well as looking on the nexus in the hopes that someone made a custom Shrine of Boethiah I could load.

This is the only post I've come across that mentions my specific issue with the Shrine of Boethiah (because there are many many *other issues* with this location).  So, disabling all mods, reinstalling all mods, playing on a clean and updated (1130) game, playing on the 640 version with "dirty" or "cleaned" plugins, nothing brings the shrine back. Halp.

Maybe there's an issue after the update in which case they'll fix it.

I just went there with my oldest most hacked about game save ever and it was fine. I reloaded a newish game save and the whole thing crashed... that will teach me for saying everything is fine after the update. I can only reiterate what I've said elsewhere that for me there is currently insufficient testing (bug testing, usability testing,  just testing really) and too many software houses seem to think that if it works on their machine at home then all is well...  And I can't tell you how many times I've listened to that excuse...

I'm sorry. You deserve better than being forced into a position where it makes you that sad. Someone will fix it - they always do...

I am still on the old version, I managed to prevent the update so that is not the problem. I looked at the cell in the CK and the shrine is definitely there. Only Skyrim, Update, and the 3 DSLs checked. I did not check the shrine to see if it had the starts disabled check box set however. And I did not have all the CC masters checked when I looked. It might be one of those.

Is there any way in XEdit to check your entire mod list to see if any mod touches some particular reference? Some handy search function? Can't click on it in game and check the consol because it is missing.

Did either of you try verifying your game files?  Make sure that you clean the game masters (if you do anyways) and any roll back after you verify.

Try using More Informative Console, it just updated.  Click on some of the areas in and around the hole, and see what it tells you about the last mod to affect the area.

Also, if you are familiar at all with SSEEdit, you could try loading your entire LO, right-clicking on any mod once they are loaded, and use the "filter to show conflicts".  Then open the game masters to see what has overwritten the Boethia shrine.  This will probably be tedious.

Sorry for missing the fact that you verified your files.  Things run together a bit after I have scanned a few topics...
