weirdsciencex
I updated some mods and when I closed Vortex it said it would update, UAC popped up which I allowed and everything seemed fine. I went to use it today, and it's not listed under the start menu. I still see an entry under installed apps, but the icon is missing, also there are no files where they should be installed. Tried a reinstall, and once again I've lost all my managed games, all my mod configurations. This is not the first time this is happened, what is the point of using a mod manager which can randomly reset with an update. Pickysaurus
99% of the time when this happens it means a local security app sabotaged the install. Just download the latest version of Vortex and install it over the top of what is left over. This should fix it.

After reinstalling vortex, as I said all the game configurations are missing, I had to relink all mods but all the different profiles are gone, when you have games like Cyberpunk with 80+ mods it's not a simple thing to just recover from this issue. All I can find in the registry for that day was the following
