Indio21 Posted January 30 Share Posted January 30 Hello, I am using vortex 1.9.12 and modding Skyrim SE version 1.6.1170 with the AE content of 1.6.640. I have quite a few mods currently installed to list them all here. My situation is everything was working great. Installed my next few mods and went into game to test. When I took a carriage to Solitude it was dark upon arriving and, for the first time I really noticed, is raining. The NPC"s and horse have an outline glow about them. I proceed to troubleshoot the issue by disabling the last few mods I installed, not realizing it is something to do with my weather mod. After that did not provide a solution, I went to my weather mods and began disabling them to try and find the problem. Of which led me to my Obsidian weather mod. The issue is sometime during that process vortex deployed my mods and took a very long time to do it, saying something about changing game settings. Everything had been going great using vortex and deploying mods this far (new user), so I did not think anything about it. Vortex did it to me a couple times for different mods being disabled. As I am returning in game to see if the glow is gone, I noticed my FPS is running at less than 30. What I am assuming is the game fps. I assume it is another weather type mod I am using in conjunction with Obsidian for lightning, etc. and it is not working correct without it. I decide, as I have not researched the issue with Obsidian, I should find that mod too in case I need to switch weather mods. I get all the weather and related mods disabled and my fps is still down. It has been a 60 flat the whole time I been working through this LO guide on steam, which has had me make several changes to various .ini, etc files. To investigate further, I open those type folder areas and those files were JUST updated. I have no idea what happened along the way with such a simple process of disable, deploy, and run game that made vortex reset or whatever them. I see areas with backups created for vortex somewhere, made just X amount of time before the last one showing. How can I get the original setting back?
