DarkSoul371
Which ENB to use in 2024 on PC I'll soon be getting a PC with 4080 Super and 7800x3d. So I assume I can run some good mods with these specs. I've seen Reactor, Nac x, and Prc on youtube. Which is the best in 2024? I want to make it more dark and gritty but with high texture quality. Also one that's friendly with other mods like new guns and gun sounds, different looks of enemies etc. Just looking for some opinions. Also, if you have any mod recs for better gun sounds or random ones you really like, like different ghoul models I'd appreciate it. I never beat 4 bc I wasn't a fan of the base game, but I liked the combat and think I'd enjoy it with some customization.
363rdChemicalCompany
Congrats on the new rig! I bet you are excited. A 4080 Super is a very strong card you will not need anything stronger for years to come. NAC-X is what I use. Does not mean its the best and its technicallY not an ENB ( though it has a selection pallette of colors/contrast resets that are proabbly ENB esque, there are a couple of settings that are dark and gritty, Film Noir, ZombiaeApocalypse, and a few others, there are also settings that do the opposite and boost color slightly or not so slightly, over vanilla.) NAC-X is more than a weather mod, the knock on it has always been thats its a bit hungry for system resources, but thats clearly fine with your rig. Two rigs ago i had to give up on it for that reason, but now on my new rig it runs great. Just wanted to let you know I must confess otherwise i have no exp with the choices u listed. Have you considered this mod yet: It is really improves cripsness of textures signiifcantly even over the beth HD pack: Fallout 4 HD Overhaul at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) There is also a 2k version if you dont have a 4k monitor: Fallout 4 HD Overhaul 2k at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) PS: I have 2 rigs right now, NAC-X runs fine on both of them. Desktop i9 10900KF overclocked 64GB DDR4 RAM SSD (older .M2) RTX 4070 (benchmark outperforms 90 % of submitted 4070s possibly due to my dedicated GPU cooler) My laptop i9 14900 HX 64GB DDR5 RAM SSD (brand new spec) RTX 4090 (laptop version so it performs about halfway between a desktop 4070 and a desktop 4080)
Squirrel97
I'm using Quantum Horizons ENB. But I'm playing in 720x1280 resolution and 30 FPS because my PC is an ancient potato (RX 470 4GB GPU, I5-7600K CPU and 16 GB RAM). But my 8K titty textures still look nice in 720x1280 resolution with that ENB, so it's all good.
subaverage
Hi, I don't want to recommend an ENB as everything is a matter of taste, but want to point out to a problem with newest enb binaries that I and other users had. The newest binaries from the enb website support parallax textures. This can lead to weird effects on certain textures in Fallout 4 and mods. E.g. fruit bowls, vines, clothings. If you experience this and it disturbes you too much you can downgrade to latest version without parallax support = 0.420. If someone uses these new binaries and doesn't have this problem I would be thankful for a hint.
