Any way to change the default or suggested Staging folder?

I still don't get why we had this software for years and this still isn't in the app...

Every time I start modding a new game, I need to manually change the staging folders. 

Perhaps there's some .ini or .json file somewhere where I can change the location? Here's hoping they didn't hardcore this essential functionality...

The default will be AppData because Vortex knows this will be a safe, writable location. There is a setting in "Mods" that will prefer a location on the same drive, but if your permissions aren't right it'll cause some error messages.

Yes, but that directory default location is arbitrary and useless since I already have a proper directory for it.

I feel like Nexus devs are treating us like idiots. I know what I'm doing and I always disable UAC, I have more than 20 years using a PC with no antivirus other than Windows Defender or similar because that's more than enough and I never got any issues at all, only when Windows does something wrong with an update.

All I ask, is an .ini file to change where that "Default" directory is located and save everyone several minutes before starting modding a game. And also, coming back to modding to be less than a massive headache - the user flow of this app is atrocious too.

There is no way to change the default. You can make a suggestion for it though!
