Switch
AMD Athlon XP 2600+512MB (not positive on whether it's DDR or anything, can't remember how to check!)GeForce 6800 GT80GB Maxtor HDAvance AC'97 Audio (inbuilt, but good) Can't remember the motherboard... I know it's a Gigabyte. :P Probably gunna upgrade to 1GB RAM soon. With the 6800 GT though I can run the latest games at a very smooth FPS at max, or in some cases, near max settings. There are just some loading issues with objects now and then where the game lags quite a bit, which is probably the RAM.

raynman
Word on the Dell comment. They make a sweet laptop, but desktops can be a little nyah. But let me tell you from experience, they rock Gateways. My old 2002 Gateway only lasted 2 years and was the buggiest piece of [explitive] i've ever had the displeasure of using. a 21" Flat screen, i think i'm going to need a new pair of pants! Note to Dilvish, if you ever get the chance, build your own PC. It's a lot of fun and there's the incredible amounts of self satisfaction you get when you see the baby up and running! edstamos1
Abit NF7-S revision 2.0Athlon XP 2500+ Mobile @ 1850MHz (I think)2x 256MB DDR400Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro The shitty ram doesn't run at spec. I'm going to grab a couple 512s of Corsair or, if I can find some around here, Mushkin so that my computer won't crash when I set it to 200MHz bus. Then I can my raw processing speed above 2GHz I was thinking of saving my money instead of upgrading, and getting a new desktop around the end of the year, but I plan on going to Japan and won't be bringing it with me, so instead I'll get a couple upgrades to get Oblivion running, and save for my trip instead. Upgrades to come soon (I hope):Radeon 9800 Pro2x 512MB DDR400 Corsair (probably value select - I heard they're good for the price)/Mushkin200GB HDD (I'll probably go with another Seagate on this one)19" LCD (I'm using a 15 currently, and it's fine. I just want something bigger, that looks a little more stylish than my C5 :P)
