Landscape tools are buggered

Heya Folks,

Been a while since I ever worked in creation engine during a major game update. so thought I'd bring this one up incase anyone's experienced with workarounds.
With the new update, landscapes editing is breaking lighting and grass generation in CK and in-game, when working on mods or just loading the base master file.

if you edit a landscape and cause it to update, all grass that generates on the landscape breaks, and the lighting received in viewport is very clearly broken, with brightness changing significantly based on camera angle.
These issues apply in-game as well.

Included a image example bellow, this is the same ground texture on both halves.

So a steam community user pointed me in the direction of a step you can take to mitigate the issue

Smoothing the landscape after the fact will resolve the issue, should not be mandatory but we'll ball.

I have this issue. When you say Smoothing the landscape, do you mean Soften Vertices ? If so, do you mean all the cell landscape ?

 

Can you please share a link for the Steam Discussion on this issue.

Having same issues. You need to play around with it. If you triggered the bug while landscaping – you need to paint a texture and then smooth. If triggered while painting textures – smooth then paint. 

 

Extremely unintuitive process tho, never figured the exact way to fix it, but part of the fix for me is to find a correct camera orientation and a correct spot to put a texture. Just paint smooth paint smooth and eventually it fixes itself.
