Pagafyr
I actually have read the license to own a video game. I built my mods using Bethesda Modding Tools (creation kits) in hopes of being noticed by the big game companies with a portfolio of my work. I even got so well acquainted with the legal information I understand it well enough to leave that area of a means for support to the giants of the video game Industry. I am no longer interested in the position of freelance modder to earn a living. Good luck!
Drakefell01
What kinds of mods did you used to make?
Pagafyr
I preferred making mods leading on from storylines that I thought up when playing Morrowind. There seemed to be many a stream of activities that seemed to me to be what someone started to make a story line for, incomplete because they weren't added when they put the game up for sale. I discovered that it was true that many of the DEVs had made many storylines for that didn't make it in the final cut for the game. Some of the storylines were were hidden on the main disk that we got when we bought the game. A person found out about it and learned how to find and open the files that were on the disk and shared it on another website for modders back when. zixi
They did that with BG1 and 2... and found all kinds of interesting things that clearly they'd had to cut. It was great seeing some of it 'restored'.

AaronOfMpls
Well, I recently got my Oldrim Kothringi guy married to a rather large Argonian... Spoiler ...after capturing Riften in the civil war, with him and Erik the Slayer following him. Spoiler Runs-With-Sticks is an Argonian added by Blood and Silver - Cidhna Mine Expanded (LE, SE). While Ak'um is a Kothringi with one Imperial grandparent. ("Under the hood", he's an Imperial with a custom gray skin tint in RaceMenu.) I have a few early pictures of him on Nexus from before I restarted him. But being a Kothringi, he doesn't like to wear much unless he has to -- so many of his pictures will have to go in Supporter Images if I decide to share them. From his bio in Supporter Images: Quote The Kothringi people The Kothringi were a silver-skinned race of humans, native to the Black Marsh. They usually went naked, although some wore clothes when visiting other lands and cultures. They are thought to have gone extinct from the Knahaten Flu of 2E 560-2E 603. The last known Kothringi in lore [that didn't end up undead, anyway] were a shipfull of (infected) plague refugees in 2E 563; turned away at every port, they sailed west, away from Tamriel, and were never seen again. Backstory A few small tribes of Kothringi escaped the Knahaten Flu by fleeing into a remote part of the Black Marsh, inaccessible even by Argonian standards. For more than a century afterward, they refused all contact with the outside world. Though they eventually started trading with a few remote Argonian tribes, they remain wary of outsiders, and refuse to let any Argonians into their territories. As of 4E 201, few people outside their part of the Black Marsh even know they exist. Around 4E 150, an Imperial trader (and occasional East Empire Company contractor) got hopelessly lost in a remote part of the Black Marsh. The trader was rescued by Kothringi, gained their trust, and eventually married into their tribe. This character is that trader's grandson. After growing up on stories of the world beyond the Black Marsh, he decided to explore it for himself. He tried wearing clothes but never felt comfortable in them, so he goes without whenever he can. Exploring Skyrim in the summer of 4E 201, he was hunting around Falkreath and Helgen... I started his current playthrough back in 2019 at Angi's Camp, via Alternate Start - Live Another Life. I started him with a summer overhaul from a now long-gone Seasons of Skyrim Project (its author deleted it years ago), which I later swapped out when the in-game date got into fall/autumn. Eventually I'll switch the same mod's winter overhaul into my load order, before switching it out again when he gets into the spring of 4E202. (Having different Mod Organizer profiles make this swapping pretty easy -- just choose a different profile before I launch the game.) He also has Apollodown's old Civil War Overhaul active, and with him I've been playing through the whole thing for the first time in a long time. So far "Skyrim sorcery" from the script load hasn't really hit him much. The worst seems to be an unexpected, uncontrollable Hysteria spell that occasionally emanates from him (and sometimes NPCs) during civil war battles, triggering floods of "<NPC> is too powerful for Hysteria" text ... and the occasional assault bounties from his own side. But that could well be from enemy mages casting something else at him (CWO adds battlemages to both sides), or a gear effect from another mod ... or "Skyrim sorcery" from a glitched script somewhere. The worst effect was when it aggroed Legate Rikke into continually attacking him while she shadowed him through Riften -- but a few console codes have (hopefully) ended that enough to continue the war quests next time he meets her. Who knows, maybe I'll write up his story sometime in Supporter Images, like I did with my (ex-)Thalmor Andil of Alinor in the regular Images. Strimming. Yesterday I strimmed most of what needs strimming but if it doesn't rain today I need to add yet another extension to get to the rest. I think I'm broken. My OS was broken. It didn't update properly. We have a very flaky internet service here which measures downloads in hours... we think some flags didn't get set properly and it was confused about which OS it was meant to be. There is nothing worse than a schizophrenic OS. Anyway, having tried various fixes I decided to start afresh. The download speed is so slow here and so flaky that it failed to download three times... and at one point said that the download would last 1 day and several hours! I thought about buying the OS on a stick... Anyway, games do not now work. I can't figure out if it's a download problem, a funny Steam installation or the OS is still having issues. I dare not look at Wine just yet as I have so much to do in preparation for a poly tunnel being erected here in a couple of weeks... My only running game is 7KAA which is a Linux installation - a strategy game... But it doesn't matter - I'm so tired that even playing games is taxing! Oh and slugs. They've eaten just about every vegetable crop I've put in. We tried deportation to a remote corner of the garden. We revoked their Visas. Put them on the wanted list... but they slither back... Well George - you did ask...
