Pagafyr
Thx for all of you giving me some support. My friendly neighborhood cloud service had all of the missing files save for the very last ones of some of my games latest saves. I got it all back and found out where the problem came from after doing some deep see surfing. The nice people at Micky Soft had updated some of their software. When they did the USB drive was plugged in. They claimed it as one of their own OS system. Deleted the name I gave the USB, setting it up again, as though it was a branch off from the main drive. You know, CD and E. Then added their controls to it for better performance. Since they did, the name I had given the USB game library drive only had a letter referring to it afterward. A second partition was included as though it was the main OS system making it look like another hard drive with the letter F. Thus the mysterious 4th drive with, the computers named partition appearing. It crashed it when I ran the Micky Soft Online security check. Before I used the Drive out of the laptop that had died it came in I had formatted it so it was blank before the upgrade Micky Soft added to it thinking it was a main OS drive. Because Micky Soft is so serious about their OS property, they found a fragment that still had the code in a place on it like the computer tag and name we give them. With the name I gave the laptop that died it came out of. When I ran Micky Soft Online Security it read their deep tool system settings and found the old computer fragment of the laptops code. Micky Soft recovered it, since it was fragmented from the formatting I gave it, the Online scanner found their online computer reference, replaced it on the old laptops reformatted drive, recorded it in a new partition for safe keeping. That's what caused the disappearing act. All the stuff was still on the disk in a whole new partition. I uncovered it when I started to restore the disk from the cloud. The cloud popup, we are all too familiar with asked, Do you want to overwrite some of the files already on the drive. When I told it I would choose which ones to install again, that triggered the drives partition again for Drive F. And so; I saw the partition and set it as the new drive. I get so flustered by Micky Soft some times I just want to wipe out their computer's OS. The Flame Wars on this website between starving artists building mods for Morrowind would look like a stick with one end burning compared to the flaming I would give them, like a forest fire of words, I would burn down Micky Soft within a post. I definitely need a cold shower. A dip in Sub-Nautica afterward should cool my mind down the rest of the way. (After the Cold shower. Cool head, calm, and ready to give my full attention to the problem so it doesn't happen again. I admit... It is partially my own fault. I got so comfortable with the broken laptops drive I used, reformatted, and got a USB cable so I could use it to swap folders and files back and forth between computers. After I finished moving folders and files I thought, why swap them?. I'll just leave the game libraries on it and link the launching tools to it from it. So I hung it in the USB slot. I now know and before I never thought it could give me any complications occur. Micky Soft proved me wrong again. RoFLOL

Pagafyr
Nice to read you have your allergy under control. I go to a green house during their opening days to test my bodies reaction to all the different plants. Some of those plants are not indigenous to Montana. I like to be prepared. That way if I have a reaction to them or the none indigenous plants may plants I can prepare if the non ones become a part of our eco system.
Pagafyr
I was too busy being a computer Geek today, almost all day, to stop for anything but bottled water and an Espresso'.

Pagafyr
There is a bunch of old 4x8 foot pieces of fence partitions made of cedar and an ancient old roof with cedar shingles on the house I live in for the moment. I don't have to worry about the blood sucking Mosquitos because they don't like cedar trees or anything made of cedar. The shingles on the roof are ancient. 70+ years old and still repell a variety of fauna type insects.
Drakefell01
That's too bad for me because I have a marsh only 100 meters from my property. My cedar allergy causes my eyes to swell and thus gives me a headache In my eyes. I am actually looking to move from my property to a place in the coniferous forest only 100 km south of where i live where there's no cedars and no marshes near by. AaronOfMpls
Welcome back, @Pagafyr -- and glad you got it sorted! On an unrelated note, did I ever tell you I haven't missed Windows much since I moved to Linux a little over four years ago? 4 hours ago, Pagafyr said: There is a bunch of old 4x8 foot pieces of fence partitions made of cedar and an ancient old roof with cedar shingles on the house I live in for the moment. Hmm, I'll have to keep that in mind if I shop for patio furniture or garden mulch. Though to be fair, we don't get as many mosquitoes in my neighborhood as some -- especially last year with how dry the summer was. And @Drakefell01, wishing you much relief from that cedar allergy!
