my friend bought it and it truely is one hell of a game. he has it on PS2. one problem is that although it is a very good game, both with his vice city and san andreas discs, they both became scratched and didnt work. and he took good care of them...

the graphics were monumental, as where the cars.... as was the storyline.....

nice car btw

I agree that the game was simply amazing but my disk also didnt run sometimes. Im not sure if it was the system or the disk.

The game was great and it was massive. The size was just amazing. It didnt take too long to get from one part of the city to another but there was just so much in between.

The problem is that they pack so much into one disk that if any part is scratched, the entire game faces a lot of problems.

Haven't played it yet, but I would have to say I like the premise of Vice City more. Just the whole concept of "high crime" appeals to me more than gang wars. But to each his own, right?

I agree, Tommy Vercetti was way better than Carl Johnson. Tommy was a proper kingpin, a criminal mastermind and a total psycho to boot. In San Andreas they brought in this whole morality thing which seemed a bit...well...gay. That said, it is a truly awesome game...97% baby! Can't find 6 of these dang oysters!!! :angry2:

I loved all the new stuff they added. Specifically the ability to fly a passenger airliner. A more twisted mind than mine might seek to re-enact 9/11 with that.

Jetpack and combine harvester were cool too. As a character CJ had his moments (deconstruction) but on the whole seemed pretty weak next to Tommy V.

Yeah as far as the main character goes,... Tommy Verceti was FAR better in many ways... Vice City might actually be a better game on the whole... But SA is sweet... gang wars don't appeal to me,...but the shear size of the map does... and the country side...with all the little hick towns,... what a sweet game. Every GTA is different,... so maybe the next one we'll have someone better than TommyV... maybe someone like yourself :O

Even though this post was revived from bing almost a year old, several people have posted, so I will too.

I just got GTA: SA about a month ago for my computer and have been playing it on and off. I enjoy more of the running around doing weird things and riding on top of cars. Another one of my favorite things to do is to make a multi-car pile-up on the freeway (because they dont slow down, they just crash) then once there are a large number of cars, shoot one of the gas tanks, stand back and watch the pretty firey explosions.
