I find it sad how most North Americans belittle europeans like me.

Drakefell01
Another sad thing is when something is part of your culture and someone tells you not to and it's not proper. I get this all the time as I have strong celtic roots and eat with my hands I've had so many people trying to tell me i'm a slop and I should use edicate, this word edicate is prejudice to me I've asked so many people to keep their eating habits to themselves but they don't ever include me. This is sad and many of my days have been flipped upside down due to this.

This is sad and many of my days have been flipped upside down due to this. You seem to surround yourself with incredibly stupid people. I wore a top hat in real life for a bit more than two years, from 2010 through 2012. Specifically, I was a 6' 5" 260# man with large beard and long hair wearing knee high tall boots, black pants, a vest, a black suit jacket and an ascot. I wore this everywhere all the time. Sometimes strangers would ask me about it, trying to make sense of it. Sometimes some would laugh in delight. It meant nothing to me, of course. I didn't need their approval, and I was unaware of what I was wearing other than it was my clothing. It was not a costume. And I was confident. I mention this because what I learned from wearing a top hat is that it challenged people's sense of conformity. Most people try to fit in with each other. Most people try not to stand out. When somebody outrageously stands out, it threatens their own identity. They can't make sense of it. If somebody tells you what to do, if they tell you to conform to them or to society, that means they are weak individuals. They need you to conform because you threaten them. If anyone tells you to conform, disregard them immediately as individuals. They mean nothing. They have lost all importance.

Keep in mind the poorer you are the easier it is to move. I remember at a much younger time in my life I had $200 to my name, a ten year old van so old pieces of rust fell off every time I shut the door, and no job and no place to live. So I decided, "It's just as easy to live in Chicago with no job and no place to live as in Detroit with no job and no place to live." So I called a friend in Chicago, and for five months he let me stay on a mattress in a corner of his apartment where I went job hunting and found a job within a few days. I did just as well in Chicago as Detroit (I've always been a survivor), but I ended up deciding Chicago was too boring and eventually moved back to Detroit. I was too fond, at the time, of the adventures I had in Detroit whereas nothing ever really happened in Chicago. In Detroit at least once a week or two I'd be attacked, sometimes by several people, or a bum would stab somebody, or something outrageous would happen. This was in the late 80s or early 90s. Times are different, of course, Detroit eventually get a police presence, and it eventually became as boring in Detroit as Chicago. I don't live in Detroit anymore, but the point is if you're poor, you can be poor anywhere. The difficulty in moving is when you have too many attachments.
