Karna5
8 hours ago, Drakefell01 said: The fish? It's been at least thirty years since I had a tuna fish sandwich, but there was a period during which I bought a lot of tuna fish. I recall, for instance, a distinct difference between brands. Starkist tuna, for instance, had a fishier flavor than Bumble Bee tuna, but Bumble Bee was almost tasteless and dry without mayonnaise to complement it. Likewise you can get tunafish canned in oil or canned in water. The oil version has a softer texture, but water version again needs mayonnaise (or miracle whip) to work in a sandwich. I didn't try other brands, but I know they exist. I also didn't try using fresh caught tuna not out of a can. As for Miracle Whip and Mayonnaise, they're used the same in recipes but are not the same. Restaurants generally use Miracle Whip because it doesn't use ingredients which go bad as quickly as Mayonnaise. So if you buy in bulk and use in bulk, it's actually safer to use Miracle Whip, whereas mayonnaise will have eggs and the like which give a different flavor. You also have to be more careful to keep mayonnaise refrigerated. Likewise, bread choices are major differences. Wonder bread or french style bread or fresh cooked bread or other brands and types of bread will change the flavor dramatically. Using lettuce, celery, carrots or other vegetables with the tunafish change the overall flavor. Personally I like Bumble Bee tunafish (either oil or water) with Miracle whip and american cheese on thingly sliced white bread, preferably Wonder bread untoasted. But when I used to buy and eat a lot of tunafish, in general I would mix Bumblebee tunafish in a large bowl, mix it with Miracle Whip and then scoop it onto slices of american cheese and eat them like that without bread. I basically ate cheese and fish sandwiches by the bowl, maybe 15 slices and scoops worth at a meal.
Drakefell01
I buy the no name brand it seems to be the cheapest LOL But no I don't put anything with it other then I do put margarine on my bread. Ingredients. Take out your tuna from tin or can (or other don't know if there's other options) Get your bread of choosing, put margarine on bread and put the tuna between the margarine side bread pieces. (If I feel like dealing with my trash toaster I will toast my bread first.) And eat! no edicate needed! I am a neanderthal I use my hands for everything! Drakefell01
Hey Pagafyr What's your favorite french fry brand? Edited June 11 by Drakefell01
Pagafyr
I don't put anything on taco's because I don't eat taco's. I don't buy french fries at a store, and the places that sell them don't advertise the brand name of the companies on them.
