New to modding, can I delete manual downloaded mod files once I install them with vortex?

Hello! Probably a dumb question, I am manually downloading each mod and then clicking ''Install From File'' using Vortex, once Vortex has installed the mod can I delete the files I used to install it in the first place?

You can.  You won't be able to reinstall a mod (to change options for instance) without redownloading it if you do.

You should note that there is an option that will make a copy of the downloaded archive in the Vortex downloads folder when you "install from file".  If you have that turned on then you will still be taking up space in that folder even if you delete the copy you downloaded.
