Problems with Skyrim Anniversary Edition

I have made sure to download the mods that say they work for Anniversary Edition, but Vortex says that they are for the wrong version each time.  Is there something I'm missing

How about some details?  What the error message says.  What it's referring to?

Odds are you're talking about SKSE errors, but without details no one can help.

You're correc of course.  My version is 1.6.640

Okay, so your issue there is that the people who maintain the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch ONLY support the latest release of SSE.  If you downgrade your game to a previous version you need to have a copy of an earlier version of the USSEP that you kept from before.

You can see that it clearly states that it only works with 1.6.1130 and above.

It does.  But 1130 comes after 640.
