Its an automatic download when you connect your game to Steam. Most people (myself included) prefer the "old" version, .163 and many folks who have been updated and prefer thier mods, go to some lenghts to roll back to .163. 1

I saw that tag but people have such prank tags sometimes and I dindt know it was that. Plus looked at all his posts saw nothing bad. Figured coulda been a foreigner who just didnt know, not everyone gets'em from Steam, there is also GOG and back in the day I hear FO4 was even sold on CD. Would be cool to have that copy and i can imagine maybe in some faraway country with terrible internet access that could be a signifcant source for FO4. Maybe he was banned as a suspected troll for that reason, but I believe in always giving people the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.
fraquar Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 Way, way back in the day, long before 3D games when I'd play D&D with friends - the running joke was "Don't Feed The Trolls". That advice was good 40 years ago - I'm pretty sure that advice has stood the test of time.
Squirrel97 Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 He is actually not banned. He was (back in December 2023) but got unbanned. The ban was for being a "possible compromised account". People who get banned and then later unbanned will still show as banned on the forum for some reason. I've seen this before. 1

Its a lot easier to stay on .163 than it is to rollback. But if you want to update any log on to steam will auto update you (unless your game is locked down as described above)

Sounds like Nexus needs to fix a problem then. Nobody should be carrying a tag that is added by the site - that isn't applicable any longer - which the site supposedly rectified.

The last time I saw this happen to someone, @Pickysaurus was able to remove the 'Banned' tag. Maybe he can do it again here.
