Question About Flickr Links

There's a 2013 thread in the Moderation section in which on the one hand it sounds like Flickr links may not be allowed at all in non-Supporter section, but it also sounds like it might be okay if the link is to a specific image or film and not to the user's full account.

The reason for the latter restriction makes sense as Flickr's rules on what is considered safe is more lax than Nexus, so one might find inappropriate image previews when linking to an account.

However, if the use of Flickr is to an embedded image only without the link to the account, is it permitted even if the image itself can be clicked to go to the image on Flickr?

I use Flickr for almost everything, and these last few years I've been as careful as possible to only use imgur  and YouTube for caption image links in general audience area.

And I still plan to stick to Supporter section as much as possible so I don't make mistakes like I did in 2017 and 2018, but I'd just like to fully understand whether the use of Flickr is completely restricted for those of us who have images which Flickr considers safe but which I know Nexus would not allow.

Post Script: Part of why this has come up as a question for me after so many years is lately I've been using the Forums section of Nexus. And I assume the forums follow the same rules as general audience image share. There have been many times where I felt I could have helped someone with an example if I could link to a specific Flickr post of mine, but I didn't link them because I was unclear on if it's completely restricted or just the general account links are restricted.

If I may... Striker879 showed a trick how to show a picture at exact place without cluttering a shared image space. This trick is based upon uploading image as hidden and when showing it in another window. As in that window the link will come from Nexus's staticdelivery.nexusmods link instead of original, you will use that link to attach it in your post.

Look for his post from 3th December 2022, he speaks about it in more detail and attached picture links are still working. Maybe you can use it as a workaround (not for videos though).
