What mod can free (allow panning/moving) the camera while the game isn't paused?

Hey guys, I already have Smoothcam, but is there a mod that just allows me to pan or move the camera up and down in any direction while the game is NOT paused?

I see this in a bunch of videos. So just looking for something where it can be immediately done in game without the console commands.

Thanks

The Photo Mode mod allows that very well including letting you use the GUI to slow time or change filters easily.

This said, I'm guessing you may be using the "tfc 1" console command to get your toggle fly camera?

Please note there are two ways to use the tfc command:

1. tfc  by itself toggles fly camera without pausing the game.

2. tfc 1  with the 1 as an argument toggles fly camera with pausing the game.

The sucsm command is also important for controlling the speed of the fly camera.

For instance, if you're making a film and want a smoothly scrolling camera, use a small number like "sucsm 0.1" to get graceful, non-jarring movement.

If you're just trying to move the camera around to explore the area, use a larger number like 5 or more.

Yup, I change it frequently when moving the camera around for screenshots.  I'll go sucsm 0.1 or lower in closer-up shots I'm trying to frame juuust right, go sucsm 1 to 3 when camming around indoors, and leave it at the default sucsm 10 or higher -- sometimes as high as in the hundreds -- when camming around outdoors or through large dungeon spaces.

I also use the tm command (for "toggle menus") to hide the console and the game UI for screenshots -- especially when the compass is pointing in a completely different direction from my camera.

EDIT: And speaking of the console and the tm command, I'll often use the console to pause killcam shots, and enter tm to hide the console for screenshots while paused that way.  (Then tm again to show UI again, and close the console to unpause.)

And speaking of the console

Say, Aaron, you're a Skyrim expert. Speaking of console commands, one of the things I miss very much since switching from Fallout 4 to Skyrim SE/AE is the modpos command as well as the modangle command.

Photo Mode mod isn't always an option for what I like to do, and the only way I know to fine tune position and angle using console command is:

Position:

1. use the "getpos [x or y or z]" command to get the current position, then

2. use mathematics to use the "setpos [x or y or z] [the new number]" to move the position.

Angle:

1. use the "getangle z" command to get the current angle, and then

2. use mathematics to use the "setangle z [the new number]" to adjust the angle.

Do you know if there's an equivalent to modpos and modangle that allows moving or turning people or objects without two separate commands and mathematics and trial and error?

I've never heard of commands for that.  Neither are listed in the UESP Skyrim:Console page, and I've never noticed any equivalents there.

I've generally used Jaxonz Positioner for moving and turning things like that in Oldrim.  There's an SE port of it too, which works just like the original.  As well as a few other moving-and-placing-objects mods like Decorator Helper or Dylbill's Positioner or Object Manipulation Overhaul (which I haven't really tried in my own game yet).

While those don't look useful for me in what I do, which is making films sometimes with multiple NPCs and people and trying to re-angle them or position them while they and my character are already performing animations, those do look like very good and powerful mods. Thanks for sharing the links, my friend.

FYI, the one thing which I found works if I'm running the animations through photo mode (which isn't always the case) is I can click the NPC and use photo mode to reposition and angle them to a limited degree. I used a bit of that in my "She Gave Up" film not long ago in the Nexus Supporter Image Share.

But for instance in my recent "Dark Ballet" film where I was running the animations through the Ballroom Dancing interface, I couldn't do that.

Still, I'm very grateful for your very helpful links. Thanks 🙂
