nuspeed
I'm having the exact same issue. Game at Patch 6 (Haven't updated to Patch 7 yet) and haven't updated any mods to Patch 7. The game was working fine few hours earlier. The BG3 Vortex Extension got updated to 1.5.1 and all the mods get disabled when launching. Not sure what can be done here? JJStylez05
11 minutes ago, showler said: They didn't disregard that fact. Insomnius' post in the stickied thread specifically mentions that the update was more complex because they had to support both patch 6 and patch 7. Just because your game broke on an update doesn't mean anyone was negilgent. It's the nature of modding. You're aware that's 5 now with the same issue and counting so its not just "my" game. The nature of modding is not hard forcing an update clearly without testing on patch 6 saves then not affording means (as of now) to revert to the last extension that worked. Your patch 7 game with 5 working mods must be fine though so I guess you're good.
showler
They could test 50 thousand mod configurations on patch 6 and still be short of all possible configurations by millions. You drew a bad card. Wait for it to be fixed.
sensei2346
Good News, and bad new, I was able to go through and find out which mods were resetting my modsettings.lsx, but one of them was Stackable Items with default highlighting by Balzhur, however, it seems that they have stopped updating this mod and took it off their page. So when ever I load the game I get a 302 error, is there a way to fix this?
JJStylez05
No s#*! sherlock. Still not gonna stop me from giving voice to a fresh issue that could've easily been avoided by instituting choice. Edited September 10 by JJStylez05
showler
"easily avoided" by redesigning how Vortex updates extensions and potentially ruining loads of other players games by not having their extensions update automatically.
JJStylez05
"Potentially ruining loads of other players games by not having their extensions update automatically." . I cant even dignify this. Aight bud Im bored now, if your game is set go and enjoy it, this thread for people looking for any word on a fix.

Dangerdawne
Same issue here. I've been running fine for days on Patch 6, just so I can continue to relax with my current save. Got pushed the 1.5.1 version extension and now upon loading a save it just lists every single mod and says they are disabled. Edit: OMG Thank you so much for the 1.5.2 extension update! After the extension update installed, I did Purge Mods in Vortex but left the Deploy Needed popup sitting there. Launched the game, clicked New Game, then escaped out and quit the game. Then I clicked on the Deploy Mods waiting for me and relaunched. Back up and running yaaay! Edited September 12 by Dangerdawne
JJStylez05
Yeah that's the frustrating part. The hard push. You make a conscious decision to avoid the rat race because of the uncertainty that comes with big patches and you get torched regardless. So many people dump on Vortex and I've defended them because I personally think the app is quite streamlined and solid, but this force feed and the lack of response after clearly messing up has been a real turn off.
