How to open mods in the CK when you are using MO2?

I used to use Vortex and also make mods.

However after losing all my stuff in a full reset and taking a year to get over it, I have tried with modlists. That requires MO2 and the apparent headaches with the VFS. 

I cannot get the CK to show mods when opened in MO2 as an executable. I have to open an NPC mod and simply use ctrl+F4 to get their faces normal.

At the top of the right panel there is a box where you can select the executable you want. With the Creation kit in that box click the RUN to the right of it.
The Creation Kit should open at that point. It should be open, but if minimized check the bottom of the screen for its icon.
If it is open Click FILE and then DATA at the top left.
You will get a popup with a list of all plugins. Put a checkmark in all needed masters like Skyrim.esm, Update.esm and any others
For the mod you want to edit after adding a checkmark and having it selected click SET AS ACTIVE FIle.
That should open up the mod for editing.
