Shadeybladey
A while ago I was advised to re-download all the updated scripts and install them all due to problems with the CK not compiling. It did not fix the problem, but a third party tool will compile my scripts. I recently noticed that I can no longer chop wood or mine ores. My new character hacks away indefinitely at ore mines but gets no product at all, while at a wood chopping block she chops one log and stops. No wood. One Google search suggested that I should delete MineOreScript.pex. Of course, I did not delete it, I just moved it to desktop, No effect. Is anyone familiar with this bug, what can cause it and how to fix it? Many Thanks
Shadeybladey
I seem to have fixed the mining bug, but I still cannot chop firewood. Really, NO one has ever seen this bug? Cheers.
scorrp10
Most likely some kind of mod script overload, likely USSEP related. But I am away from my Skyrim setup this week, so can't confirm.

Yes, I was never able to isolate it. But, whatever it was, it's baked into my old saves. If I find a chopping block a character has never used (EG my Player Holiday Home on the lake), it worked, but all those in Riverwood and Whiterun are borked. But this is LE, not SE, so I have the unofficial patches for LE and the DLC. I never migrated to the single unofficial patch or to SSE. I removed any scripts that looked like they had to do with mining or wood chopping, disabled all mods except my own, the unofficial patches, SkyUI and Bag of Holding and started a new game. When I got to Riverwood I slowly enabled more and more mods until I had them all back, and it still works. The only difference is that I have a slightly different load order now, but the previously visited chopping blocks still don't work on old saves. But I could use Pocket Empire Builder to delete chopping blocks in Riverwood and Whiterun and add new ones, and they work. So it seems to be a weird JOTT. Cheers! IsharaMeradin
If you have not given the following a try, do so. Load an old save with an affected chopping block, wait 30 plus in-game days in an interior cell on the other side of the game world. Then check the aforementioned chopping block. On a full cell reset, the chopping block should load fresh with new data rather than calling up old existing data from the save file.

But I have RND, and I will die of thirst if I wait 30 days! LOL! I could disable it and try that, just to see if it works. But it's a bit of a palaver as my current character is level 35 and can chop wood everywhere except Whiterun. I did not yet change those chopping blocks for new ones from Pocket Empire Builder, just those in Riverwood. Cheers!
