Ehaltar
Hi there, I've been a happy and satisfied user of Vortex for a few years now, and just recently decided to get back into modding. Sadly, I seem to run into issues. Apparently, I am not logged into Vortex (Picture 1). That shouldn't be an issue in itself, except that the log-in buttons have all disappeared. (Picture 2) I've hit every button I could hit, looked through all the screens of all the tabs, tried looking it up on internet, and can't find anything. I've tried re-installing nexus — doesn't help. Yet, the website works fine. This is just happening on Vortex. Surely I must have missed something given I'm not the best at IT stuff. But this is really putting me in a pickle, and I could use the help. Thanks in advance, Edited September 16 by Ehaltar
insomnious
The symbol next to the bell means that Vortex can't connect to the internet, if you can solve that then you just need to login again and it'll sort it.
Ehaltar
@insomnious Thanks for the answer, I figured as much. My internet is well and working, proof being that I can write this post. Do you have any idea as to where it might come from? I'm on eduroam, which is a more-or-less public wifi for buildings in the higher-education system, if that might be relevant. insomnious
Can you send your logs please? I'm curious why Vortex isn't reporting no internet and yet you obviously have got internet. Could be a connection to Nexus specifically and not just general internet. Could you send vortex.log and\or vortex1.log, vortex2.log etc. They will be in Vortex's AppData folder, normally located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Vortex Thanks DM if you'd prefer
Ehaltar
My PC crashed, and somehow it fixed itself now. Thanks for your responsiveness though. Here attached are the two most recent logs, if you want to take a look at them. Vortex.rar
Pickysaurus
You probably have some kind of security software blocking Vortex from talking to the internet. Check any anti-virus or firewall apps you use, you may need to add an exception for Vortex to work.
