Ads causing redirects/Fake McAfee Ads/Large Ads (Sept 2024)

Ive got two sites ive encountered

they pop up before i can even click on a mod, its odd that it automatically directs me to a site, might need to reset servers or do maintenance to deter it.

I am having the same problem i blocked both sites now but this should of never happened anyway. I only use nexusmods, reddit for troubleshooting, an youtube on my gaming laptop an this popped up while exploring nexusmods. Hopefully i dont get a virus from this. Maybe start charging people to use your website entirely an get rid of these stupid ads everywhere. Id rather pay 5 bucks a month or even 7.50 then see ads all over my screen that you can accidently click.

Then you have a browser hijacker.... or using something like wave browser..... or a bad extension.

It's still happening to the point that nexusmods is unusable with the constant redirecting. Scam sites, including Operagx downloading without permission, and more. Hopefully this is solved soon because it's extremely frustrating and I'm just hoping I don't get a virus from this mess.

McAfee Antivirus has started to warn me that Nexus is a suspicious site, with Potentially Unwanted Programs.  I have no reason to think there's a serious problem, but you might want to check what's causing this.

ya been getting these site redirections earlier when going through site even when I'm browsing been getting redirected to MACfee or captcha sites only two pop up ad sites been getting directed to automatically about 30 or 25 mins ago while was on the site

I also got some of these ads, I was redirected to these websites just after a few seconds I opened a mod page:
