7531Leonidas
Upon boot, the game will show which version you have, v. 1.5xx - SE, v. 1.6xx, AE, don't know how to check for the bonus paid content w/o looking at the LO for the extra CC mods, the .esp/.esm all start with ccxxxxxxx (and there are a LOT more than the four included in the base AE). You can also right-click the .exe and get its properties in Explorer to see which version number the .exe is.

DirebearCoat
Thanks for your replies, 7531Leonidas and greyday01. Maybe, because I'm starting Skyrim via Vortex, it doesn't show the version in the boot screen. However, I did find it by right clicking the .exe file. Also, thanks to greyday01, I was able to find it quickly. So, I have thew 1.6.1170 version. All this time, I thought I had the 1.5.xxx version. I might need to take another look at my mods to see if I have the wrong versions installed...

Also, if you use them, check your SKSE install, your ENB, and anything else that you might have installed outside of a mod manager. P.S. BTW, this is yet another reason I really like MO2 - with the Root Builder for MO2 add-on, I can make SKSE, ENB, and anything else I want into a mod and leave my steam install 100% untouched. If I wanted to, I can delete and re-install Skyrim without losing any customization or reinstalling any mods or tools.
wfandrews
Go to your game folder, select Skyrim.exe or SkyrimSE.exe whichever you have, right click on it, go to Properties, open it and select Details. You must select the file before opening Properties as you will get a different menu if you do not select the file first. Ninjad
7531Leonidas
@DirebearCoat Why are you launching Skyrim through Vortex? You should be using an SKSE launcher shortcut. Doing it your way only means that system resources are being used unnecessarily. MO has to be running to access its mod install information, Vortex does not. scorrp10
It really depends. Vortex launch button does launch game via SKSE. If someone is really strapped for resources, closing Vortex before running the game makes sense, I suppose. With 64G of RAM, I prefer convenience since I generally tend to mess with mods more than actually play...
